Well its time to run home for lunch then!
MGS 4 will move a ton of systems; it is a proven franchise with a legion of fans. It is the closest thing sony has to halo3. When i say that i am refering to the size and loyalty of the fanbase halo carries not the quality, style or gameplay of the games.
Halo 3 makes things a bit different. It has sold 4 million + copies in pre-orders. Even if everyone got the non collectors edition that is over 240 MILLION in profit and the game isn't even out for 2 months. It took transformers a week to make that much cash. Love or hate halo its hard to deny that it sells better than EVERY game other than GTA and it should not be under estimated simply because you don’t like it.
God this game looks so sick! I just got a 28" view sonic monitor in preparation for this and bioshock.
Ouch that doesn’t bode well for the hd-dvd camp.
I think the game will rock but i hope its not too short. Fingers crossed for 20 hours of gameplay.
Odion i think you hit the nail on the head; the cryengine 2 is way to high end at the moment for this to have any impact. MMO games have to trade off good graphics for high poly counts that are needed to support tons of online avatars.

I got sigma the other day and it’s still a sweet game but I played the original and black so its not really keeping my interest. I was kind of expecting more with the graphic, they are better but not worlds better. They made the game a lot easier than the original by giving you the flying swallow on the first level as a scroll. The swallow wasn’t available until the 5th or 6th level in the original and it is the bane of all none boss enemies and you can kill the end boss by using nothing b...
I think the collection aspect will help to keep it interesting. Then again buying boosters can turn into a crack addiction and eat tons of cash. Either way sign me up the game looks amazing and very inovative. The only thing that sucks bout is that now i will have to buy a table to to put the board on.
This is one of the most interesting looking games of the next gen. I loved Magic back in the day and this looks like magic on crack. I am very eager to give it a try. Sony needs to focus on making more titles like this.
Does anyone have it yet? I am at work so i cant get it for a few hours but i am dying to know it kicks arse! Some please post your opinion of it.
I honestly think the chief will die at the end of halo3. It would suck but it would immortalize him like what happened with optimus prime in the 1986 transformers movie. He would be a martyr for human kind and that in my opinion would make him a legend.

They are bashing the system because many of the people in this thread are known fanboy trolls. Look at the bubble count most of them have. The game will be great regardless of which system you buy it on.

That is an idiotic comment. Oblivion fit on a dvd and i doubt gta will be able to match its size. You do realize that if needed they could put it on 2 dvds? They did this MGS1 on ps 1 and quite a few other games. Quit being a fanboy, nothing was gimped down.
How many did turismo sell? Are you talking about part 1?
