I dont think Dmcs combat is casual the controls are more accessible. looks like some of the unlockable difficulties are pretty challenging
@hanso
Just curious....But you always bring up DMC 3 and 4. Have you ever played the other two games in the series? And Im not trying to pick a fight with you or anything Im just curious
Because it seems to me that while its definitely not like the most recent two games its a bit similar to the first two.
But most gamers of this generation I know havent played the earlier games in the franchise (at least not until recently with the HD collec...
@frelyler
Dude you took the words right out of my mouth and I agree with you 100 percent DMC1 will always be the best in the franchise to me and Ive always held it in high regard. I really enjoyed the new DMC demo but I think alot of people dont like it because they are comparing it to DMC 3 and DMC 4 (sparatic combo driven over the top gameplay) to me this reboot is more in line with the first two DMC games instead. Its still very different but I dont know how to describe it...
Hanso have to disagree with you. There are definitely two different types of hardcore fans out there. Sure there are some fans that generally don't like the new direction and that's cool. But there are also plenty of former fans that do like it and are interested in the game the more they've shown over the years. Myself included, that 2010 trailer I hated it a whole LOT and I was pretty vocal about it. But became more and more interested with the same re-redesign of the the new D...
Meh... Dunno...
I own all the the other dmc games. After I played the demo I went and pre ordered it myself.
I thought the demo was pretty cool. Different but cool
I actually rather enjoyed the demo myself... So I'm looking forward to the final release
side note: Anarchy Reigns looks horrible, at least IMO. The graphics look bad and I dont know how I feel about playing a fighting game in an over the shoulder third person perspective.
I love Platinum but....smh
Just my opinion of course lol
Ill be glad to answer that for you...
It was ridiculously easy you never had to swing your sword if you didnt want to you could just shot your enemies and bosses from afar and they would lift off of the ground as you shot them making it impossible for them to fight back.
Dante hardly ever spoke...if I recall he probably only had 5 lines the Entire game.
But instead of cool lines Dante had a coin he carried around with him that he would flipped to deci...
....and the difficulty
....and the fact that guns were way over powered
....and the fact that unlike the previous DMC you couldnt unlock new abilities, you could only power up your weapons....so it was pretty repetitive considering all the swords handled the exact same way (Vendetta looked awesome though)
It certainly wasnt a horrible game...but i wouldnt call it good.
hmmm...I think DMC2 was worse than RE6. But I agree with all the games on your list.
lol and I thought i was the only one who hated super mario bros. 2
Hey man cool to have your own thoughts and views on the game. But I have to disagree with you on the difficulty I dont think its "stupid easy" as you say. For one in the demo alone there are 4 difficulty settings the last unlockable one Son of Sparda mode....(is that what is what called again??) was pretty challenging IMO, enemies didnt just stand around looking at you. Not to mention that we dont know exactly where that levels fits into the story, Im pretty sure its one of the firs...
Day one for me as well.
I felt the demo was pretty good. And for the people claiming that this is somehow worse than DMC2 you need to go back and play DMC 2. Thats crazy, all the complaints about this reboot being too easy (on a stage thats probably one of the first mind you) when DMC 2 offered absolutely no challenge (being able to shoot every enemy in the game and hardly ever having to use your sword...juggling enemies was as easy as shooting them because they would litrerally fly of the ground into the air, ect) ...
cant wait to try the upcoming demo out. Then well know for sure
The most badass moment of DMC2 was when Dante shot the final boss(flaming satan guy...I forget his name)in face.
But yeah the game was overly repetitive. I honestly dont see how this reboot could be any worse than DMC2 or DMC4, but i plan on giving it a shot.
Cant wait for the demo personally, Ive been following this game for some time. Hope it plays well and has a good story. Thats all I care about.
I really hope this game makes it to the states the anime has been one of the best Ive seen this year so far.
@cleft5
You make some valid points. But I think ME3 got as much hate as it did because the ending was so horrid plus the game didnt quite feel complete to begin with. Not to mention all the "decisions" you made in the previous games seemed to make no real impact, despite being lead to believe so.
I can honestly say BL2 does feel like a complete game even without the DLC theyve released so I dont feel cheated.
But I definitely understan...
@Vortis
I hope in BL3 they add alot more abilities with branching paths for each character that way they would feel more varied.But free form would be pretty awesome.
Dude Dante has always been a delinquent. And i was speaking more about the actual over all game play mechanics. I still don't know very much about dante in this new game. It's not like divulge much story in the demo.
