Lol
@dragon
To be fair bayonetta was a sleeper hit that sold poorly across two platforms. I think enslaved was decent it just had bad marketing.
Well to be fair enslaved probably didn't do so well for a few reasons
1) it was a new IP
2) it also didn't help that it was published by namco and wasn't advertised well
3) it came out at a pretty bad time. I believe it came out the same day as castlevania:LOS and something else that escapes me at the moment...
Besides some of the best games this generation haven't sold well which is a shame. Just take a look at Bayonetta,Vanq...
Have to admit...this was a little....mean. lol
Are you going to save us?
Sometimes I wonder if instead of NT rebooting the regular DMC series they instead went in a different direction for a reboot. For example, instead rebooting Dantes story I wonder how things might have turned out had NT and Capcom instead decided to do a game based around Sparda.
They could have helped clarify some story elements (with some artistic freedoms of course).
I think had they started there, and built from that the backlash and fan division issue might have ...
@zerocrossing
I actually agree with you as far as why some people are disasapointed in the new DmC.
This isn't about whether or not people don't like the game. Believe it or not I can be pretty objective. And I understand why some people don't like the game. I respect that. Infact I agree with some gripes.
This, or rather my earlier comment is in reference to "self appointed" true fans (more like purist BTW) who feel the need to speak for everyone. "Agree with me and your a true fan, disagree and your a casual." Its actually quite silly. Its ...
So...someone that hates the game. That's all it takes?
Is your interest not piqued? I mean... you are here after all.
True fans huh? What exactly is the criteria to be a "true" fan?
Um Semantics? Not bad means not bad...
Which means that the game wasn't a bad game, meaning it wasn't perfect it also wasn't horrible it was just OK.
I dont live in a black and white world...sometimes there are shades of grey.
I don't know Mike...he has me reconsidering
:-P
Lol!!! Why the disagrees I wonder
Agreed. A friend of mine had it and we beat it over the holidays. I felt like there were way too many QTEs. And of course the story was blah...But I thought coop was pretty fun
Dude RE 6 wasnt even all that bad...
It was no better or worse than RE5 (which I hated, but still)
I personally think it was w bit overblown....
Capcom probably should have just made the game about Leon and been done with it
True...he can be a bit if a jerk.
I still rember when he flew off the handle a few months ago because some fans had apparently been bothering him about Devil May Cry.. Lol it was funny but a bit immature...
Agreed. Some people just like the game. And apparently it doesn't matter who reviews this game...because if it gets higher than a 7 people will say the review was bought..
So who really needs assurance? Those that have liked the game or those who have hated it from the start. But honestly had it be given a 7 or whatever I still would buy it. Because I've enjoyed the demo personally
Truthfully he probably hasn't played the original series. There will be a lot of people who haven't reviewing this game I'm willing to bet. So most people going into this game will most likely review it as something completely New to the series.
God I hope so!!
I'm personally glad the reviews seem to be overwhelmingly positive. But I wonder how this will translate into sales for the game?
