Just goes to show that art style > high resolution. (imo)
No. Not unless they bring in some veteran single player devs who are really good at making single player games to do it because clearly they aren't that great at it themselves. But they wont, so no, BF4 does not need a campaign.
"the reward is the latest info, interesting and practical."
And for trophy hunters, the reward is the good feeling they get when they get their trophies. The same kind of feeling you get when you see "oh cool, a new screenshot has been released". There's nothing you can do with that except look at that picture and get a little bit excited, just as a trophy hunter can get a little bit excited when they finally get a hard trophy they've been after....
"I'll tell you the difference. One is practical. You're keeping up to date with the news. The other is pointless. Utterly, utterly pointless. Trophy whoring gets you nothing. An absolute waste of time. And a massive, massive waste of time, and lest we forget, money as well."
That's not for you to say to others. What you find pointless, others may find fun and rewarding. While YOU personally may not get anything out of trophy whoring, that doesn't m...
@Shadow/Midnyt/Ranger
He also said reading. How much time do you people (Mika included) spend reading comments, articles, blog/forum posts, and how much time do you guys spend typing out some of the larger comments? That was his point. Add that all up, and it's likely that you're very close to the amount of time trophy whores spend on trophies. Unless you just check n4g once a day and only read the top stories.
There's almost no difference, ot...
@Krew_92
I think it should be both.
Though they don't need to have good graphics in the traditional sense (high res textures, realistic looking), but games should focus as much on art style as they do on gameplay.
Design your game with a great art style and your game becomes timeless and unforgettable. If it's just some generic high res crap, it's going to be forgotten (unless it raises the graphical bar like Crysis).

Halo 4 is by far my favorite Halo game multiplayer wise. Though I never played Halo 2 mp past a few split screen matches a really long time ago at some community center thing, so I can't really speak for that game.
I've always thought Halo games were 'good', but to me they were never amazing. I've been having SOOO much fun with Halo 4s multiplayer mode. It's kind of similar to when I first played Call of Duty 4.
But I will say it is ...
That money isn't going towards getting content EARLY, it's going towards making the other guys get their content LATE. You're basically paying Microsoft to say "haha, we get [irrelevant piece of dlc] first, you have to wait. xbox ftw!!".
But hey, as long as petty and immature fanboy wars make you happy, I guess I'm not one to tell YOU that gold isn't worth it.
But for people who don't care about that stuff, it isn't.
One thing that they do need to change are the amount of Money merchants have. It's incredibly annoying having picked up tons of loot in the wasteland, hoping to sell it off but only being able to sell off a small portion of it because the merchants only have 500 to 1000 currency (or a little bit more if you waste your skills/perks to get them to have a little bit more). I'm sure they could work some logical credit system into the story instead of only having physical currency.
"how do you whine about not being accepted when you don't accept those that don't accept you..."
So by that logic, you accept racists? You're honestly asking someone to be tolerant of the intolerant?
Dragon Quest 8 was amazing. Bought it during the early ps3 days, when my backwards compatible ps3 was still functioning. Never beat it, but got very close. I wish they would do an HD remaster of DQ8, the game looked absolutely beautiful, and it was the only JRPG that I've ever liked aside from some of the gameboy pokemon games.
Relax, he was joking.
"just think of how much better that single player campaign would be if they hadn't siphoned resources away to produce a mediocre multiplayer component."
I always hear this argument, but it still doesn't really make sense for most SP games that tack on multiplayer, considering most developers put different teams on both single player and multiplayer. You might say "oh, well both teams could work on sp", but the thing is, chances are high that the t...
@DragonKnight
Because unless you do that or add a sexy thumbnail, 80% of the people on this site wont read it. Sad, but unfortunately true.
Not defending him or saying what he's doing is right, but I understand it. I tend to see a lot of interesting articles with less than 70 degrees just pass on by, while any article that has boobs in the thumbnail or some article that has an outlandish/ridiculous title gets more attention than actual amazing news or g...

I'm not sure whether or not Gearbox created the shoot-and-loot rpg/fps, but they definitely revived it and made it amazing. How many fps/rpgs with randomly generated loot games can you name, other than BL1/BL2? I'm betting none, unless you can find some mediocre indie game somewhere on the internet that has poorly replicated it.
It may not be 100% unique and original, but it sure as hel...
Sorry. I almost made that mistake too, in fact, I did sell some games I really wish I had right now. The only reason I still have my gamecube was because I took off that little piece of plastic and lost it, so gamestop wouldn't accept my console. Really glad I lost that piece.
But I traded in Super Mario Sunshine, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and Spiderman (and maybe one other game I can't remember), and I really wish I still had those games today.
Can someone tell me what's so great about this game? I just ordered it 2 days ago, so I'm waiting on my copy to arrive. I'd rather hear some opinions of my fellow n4g'ers than a lot of reviews that seem to say the same generic things.
"It has never happened in the past and I hardly believe anyone was suggesting that it happens in the future."
The disagrees to my comment and Theangrybogans comment (and the 6 agrees he got with it)suggest it. That was the point of my whole comment, and nobody would have replied to it or disagreed with it if they had a problem with all 3 games coming out the same day.
My point is that it would be a terrible idea, and I said as much in my comment, a...
I think that he's trying to say those games "art style" look better, which is a valid opinion. He just did a terrible job at articulating himself. At least I think that's what he was trying to convey.
For instance, something like Journey on ps3 is far more visually pleasing TO ME (and many others)than a game like Battlefield 3 on max settings on PC, because I like the art style more, while BF3 is the technologically superior game.
