"It's also added this 'false achievement' multiplayer. You often have loads of levels and perks and guns to unlock to make the player believe they making progress when they are not."

I don't understand, how is this a bad thing? Unlocking things is fun for a lot of people. It encourages people to try new weapons and play-styles. If something like BF3 had everything unlocked from the beginning, I probably wouldn't try every single weapon/special...

"better characters/writing than most films."

Highly disagree with you there. Uncharteds writing and characters are pretty much just on par or equal to most films.

I know I'm going to get disagreed to hell with what I'm about to say, but I'll say it anyway(oh and by the way, I haven't played Tomb Raider, so don't take this as a comparison and start saying "well tomb radier isn't as good blah blah").

"No Half-life? No Bioshock? No Unreal Tournament? No Metroid Prime? No Counter Strike? No Left 4 Dead? No Portal? No Deus Ex? No Far Cry...after 3 blew us all away? No Borderlands?"

I don't want to live in that world.

What you need then is 20CCs of Bioshock Infinite.

@Bimkoblerutso

Hmm, I completely forgot about the duels. But in Gearboxes defense, making it worth a damn would require a ton of work, balancing issues and whatnot.

"but to me, the quest for better loot just doesn't give me that same tingly feeling I got when I played it through with my first character. And it also doesnt help that I'd have no one to coop with at this point either."

The quest for loot was just one part of i...

"I don't know how some of you guys can devote so much time to a single game"

Borderlands 2 is really the only game I've done A LOT of playthroughs on. I'm usually the type to play a game through once, and never go back to the single player again. There's very rare instances where I'll play through the game a second or even third time (and that's usually just games with different outcomes, like infamous or bioshock), but Borderlands 2 was th...

I got burnt out on Borderlands 2 as well. Though it was no fault but my own, I played it WAY too much. Fully leveled up a Siren, a Gunzerker, an Assassin, a level 24 Soldier, and I currently have a level 44 Mechromancer.

So that's about 7 and more than a half playthroughs (it's my favorite game this gen). Should have waited on a few of those characters and saved them for the upcoming dlc. Bought the season pass, completed pirates booty, and a bare minimum playthro...

Shame, I was waiting to see what West and Zampella were going to do with their next game. Probably wont be the same without him.

@Genuine-User

Because all his character consists of is whining and bitching. Nothing really likeable about him at all.

At least Battlefield has some really good DLC though. Most of their other game dlc sucks I'll agree with you there.

@UnholyLight

You took a class at college, which means you can analyze with 100% certainty what is going through the mind of some nerds on stage?

I'm not arguing that they lacked confidence in their presence on stage or their speaking abilities, they definitely lacked confidence in BEING ON STAGE, but there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to think that they lacked confidence in their PRODUCT. Just because they were nervous, doesn't mean they thinking "oh...

"Their body language conveyed some serious lack of confidence in what they presented"

No.

"and that they didn't want to be on the stage.

Yes.

Chances are, those guys aren't exactly audience speakers. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to believe that they lack confidence in their product, it's FAR more likely that they are just nervous to be on stage.

I personally think inFamous is a better franchise than the Uncharted games. But I'm also a huge fan of open world games.

Probably wont see anything new though :(

That's one annoying thing about big events like e3 or tgs that announce tons of things, websites always report the same footage or information like 7 different times. If a demo gets played in a slightly different way but shows nothing new, it gets its own article despite having been shown before. It makes it hard to differentiate between the newer news, like some minor details that aren't mentioned in the newer one so I just ...

Can someone who knows their computer graphics tech explain to me how powerful the ps4 gpu is compared to say, an nvidia card? Like is it comparable to a GTX 460, a GTX 600 series or what?

4862d ago 3 agree4 disagreeView comment

Sony is also quietly standing over the flames with the biggest extinguisher ever, not doing anything.

If the ps4 doesn't get announced on the 20th, then it will be both the medias and sonys fault. Sony could crush the rumor with a single tweet, yet they have chosen not to, which means one of two things: they are desperate to bring hype and attention to something that isn't the ps4, so much so that they would go on and let people believe a lie (not told by them, but s...

Same here :|

Keep getting disappointed by these games, as I have like 90% of them.

Then a game finally comes along that has me very excited and looking forward to it that I don't have...... but it's for Europe only(sleeping dogs). Needless to say, I wont be renewing my sub when it expires, not unless they get some GOOD game in, one that everyone and their mothers hasn't had a billion chances to buy at dirt cheap prices.

"Yea it would be impressive for 2 minutes but then how fed up of it would u be 20 mins into the game."

I don't know, I might end up liking it, so long as the game was good and found creative uses to use the tech. You can't really say who it would be for though since it doesn't exist yet. Well, I guess you could say it wouldn't be practical for lazy folk who want to sit on their asses and move nothing but their fingers and thumbs. But I would perso...

@DragonKnight

I read the comments on those OSs, most of the comments were positive. Reading feedback doesn't guarantee that it's safe. A lot of the times, people who know very little about the topic will comment, and will post a comment immediately after they download it or get it installed, and instead of trying to find the exact link they downloaded it from and warn people against it, will just say F'k it and find another OS to download. Also, there are quite...

Games where you use magic or shoot projectiles from your hands would be pretty cool (assuming I could have any motion controls I could imagine, which wouldn't suck like they do now).

Think of a game like Bioshock, where your hands, arms, or even your whole body actually appear on screen precisely as they do in real life, being able to cast incinerate just by snapping your fingers at the screen and it moving in accordance to your every motion, that would be pretty cool. O...
