Switch 2 versions that have extra dlc will probably have a 20 dollar upgrade path and the others are 10.
Some or all upgrade paths will be free if you have NSO+expansion pack.
Some will say that it's because it includes new dlc...but Capcom is releasing Street fighter 6 with all the dlc characters so far for 60 so it does come off greedy by comparison.
The switch 2 versions of tears of the kingdom, kirby and mario party are also 80 by the way...

Well it's crazy that people (even Miyazaki) have been ragging on Sony for holding Bloodbourne hostage on PS4 and not doing a PC version...then it's fine that new game is held hostage on a system with the lowest specs?
Well the upgrade path prices can't go over what the price difference is between the price of the Switch 1 and 2 versions...right?
If breath of the wild switch 2 is 70 then the upgrade price is 10...but if breath of the wild switch 2 is 80 then you have a 20 upgrade path.
Also worth mentioning according to Verge... upgrades "at no additional cost if you have a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription."
@Dank
Try to pass the blame all you want but Nintendo is the one that decided to raise the prices. Mario kart 8 is going to be 10 dollars more expensive than death stranding 2 and doom the dark ages...and apparently 20 dollars more expensive physical!
It's quite funny to see you telling people to stop suckling while furiously suckling Nintendo. 🤣
Nintendo started this with raising the handheld games price ceiling from 40 to 60 which made it ok for console games to go up to 70.
And tears of the kingdom started the specific game costing more because it is popular. So expect main line zelda, mario, etc... to be 80 while the less popular titles are 70.
Apparently this is 80 USD...can't wait for the Nintendo defense squads support of this one.
The shadows of rose DLC (REvillage) mannequin section is definitely top 10 worthy but is missing...
"a surprise announcement during the latest Nintendo Switch Direct, Patapon 1+2 Replay, a remaster of the first two Sony-published titles, was revealed for the Nintendo console. Despite Sony publishing Lego Horizon Adventures on Nintendo Switch last year, this remaster will instead be published by Bandai Namco."
...Sony isn't publishing these games. Bandai namco is.
They are licensing their IP like marvel does. 0 cost to make and they get a percentage or lump sum. It's the same thing they did with freedom wars.
Xenoblade chronicles x came out on the WiiU so the switch version is the next gen version.
You would think they would have brought the frame rate up to 60 with all these years of switch development experience.
But what can we expect when they are just charging 60 dollars for it...
It doesn't run at 60fps on switch? Isn't the switch 1 version the "next gen" version?
Well this line of thinking applies to assassin's creed, as there hasn't been multiple games with the same protag since ezio, so why not make this article about assassin's creed shadows since it just came out? 🤔
If it's the same quality as P3 reload i am in. It's a low chance but i hope they adapt the fighting game story to turn based combat and sell it as DLC.
Inconsistent is taking it lightly...some of it is shenmue level bad.

It's assumed apple is paying for the ports. Apple probably paid a lump sum for all the RE games so capcom is just finishing up the contract.
Or maybe Capcom sees this as port practice for the switch 2 or these ports are what the switch 2 versions will be?
Assuming you haven't played it the valhalla dlc is really good and was surprised in how much dialog/story content in it since it was free.
I don't know why donkey kong being 70 is fine when there were debates here on 60 for Astro Bot being too high...
