I actually was thinking more along the lines of 6's, and that seems to be the most popular score. Doesn't surprise me. At least it shows how amazing next gen graphics can be. Imagine a year or 3 from now when developers really get to push the limits of both X1 and PS4.
As long as you buy a console that makes you happy, that's what matters. I don't think an article like this is going to make X1 buyers switch to PS4 all of a sudden.
Looks like each console has a dud. PS4, Knack and now X1, Ryse.
I think everyone understands that the real meat on the bone is 2014. Infamous, Titanfall, The Division, Destiny, and Halo. Not to mention the slew of titles that haven't been announced.
Neither launch lineup was particularly strong. I don't think there was 1 must have game that sold a system, like Halo did on the original Xbox. In a few months the games will start to pick up.

Well at least you gave a good explanation lol. If you really want to see a game that sucks, look at that Lococycle or whatever that piece of crap is. Knack isn't my type of game, but I'm sure it doesn't suck.
Yes this is one of the higher scores. I tend to go with the lower scores as a more accurate gauge of this game since the majority are around 6/10. If there were more positive reviews I'd lean that way, but general census is the game just "OK." But then again some X1 owners might love it.
I didn't think this game was going to score 8's or 9's. I figured it would be between 5-7.
Enjoy GT6 on the PS4.....oh wait, that's right. Only available on last generation :-(
Sony fanboys are just little kids, I'm sure of it. Good review comes out and everyone cries about. If your not getting an x1, why care if it gets a perfect score or a terrible score? Just so you can brag on the internet? People are buying an X1 regardless so just accept that its not the piece of crap you thought it was.

Funny how all the PS haters comment on the one 7/10 but have nothing to say to the 8, 9, and 10s. Glad this game is killing it.
Everyone's a winner as long as you didn't get a broken console. Both systems have their strengths and weaknesses. As long as YOU like it, that's all that really matters.

Majority of the sites have given 8/10, 9/10, 5/5, 4/5. Every gaming site isn't going to give a perfect score. If you had fifteen reviewers rate a game around a 6 and two rate it a 9, most likely the game is closer to a 6. But if you have fifteen reviewers rate a game closer to 9 and a couple at a 6 or 7, most likely closer to a 9.

See, if Fox News said "The X1 is junk. Buy a PS4 because MS is the devil" then everyone would praise Fox News and it would be OK. But since it was a positive review, Fox News is trash, paid off my MS, and doesn't know anything.

Kidding aside, the X1 has the better launch lineup and equally great games for 2014. Titanfall, that game alone will be a reason to pick up an X1. Project spark, create your own game basically, how awesome is that? Halo, that doesn't need anything else to be said. And the rest of the games...

Your using an indie/arcade game to use as your comparison to @georgenoobs full/retail games? He was comparing major titles to major titles. And so far the X1 games have been getting better reviews then PS4 games (not arcade games). And the 1 Knack review you provided was 1 good score compared to the tons of negative scores. Ryse has 1 review so far, so that's not a valid point.

Personal opinion, I don't think Ryse was the flagship game. I think Forza was the flagship game for launch. And how is a 6 an epic fail? I think anything below a 5 would be a complete failure.
Everyone knew Ryse would be a beautiful game. Everyone though the combat and gameplay wouldn't be that great. I dont think anyone was expecting 9's or 10's for this game.
