Flower, WipeoutHD, FatPrinces, Crash Commando, SuperStarDust HD. I only included PSN only games. I could've added Warhawk, Burnout Paradise, Bomberman (after they fix the glitches).
If you want to be super critical about the connection issues then 7.5 but 6 is ridiculous. Titan is already setting out the patch to fix connection issues and other things they found which will boost the game to a 8.5 - 9 in my book.
Definitive racers let you use a rewind button so if you crash you can go "Welp, time to rewind" just like in real life.
For 2009, games that will clearly be remembered at the end of the year for being great are Flower and Fat Princess. Maybe we'll count Wipeout HD Fury Add-on since Bots like to count DLC as full games. Sony just keeps on chucking out those great games. MLB 09 The Show, Killzone 2, Flower, Fat Princes, Infamous, games in the west that we haven't received yet like Yakuza 3.
The only thing slowing the PS3 down is the $400+ price. Again for you Bots that seem to forget, in Jan-Aug 2008 the PS3 was outselling the 360 here in the US despite having a price tag of $400/500 while the cheapest XBOX 360 was $270 (or $279). It wasn't till the XBOX 360 dropped to $199 did it begin to sell more than the PS3 again.
Oh well, doesn't matter to me. I got PLENTY of games to play on my PS3 with more coming out this year. Kthxbai.
Out of all those games you listed only Haze was PS3 developed. GhostBusters might have been lead PS3 developed (even though they failed and fulfilling the graphics so that's the Dev's fault) but COD4, and GTA4 were 360 lead platforms.
I like how you casually left off PS3 games like MGS4, Killzone 2, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, Uncharted, ect.
They can order it from the US for and save a few dollars instead of buying it in the UK.
Um, 360 had a 5.5 million lead upon PS3 release and now it's up to 8 million? No, get your "facts" straight. 360 had a 10 million lead when PS3 was released and now the lead has SHRUNK to around 7. The lowest the lead got to was around 6 especially back in Jan-Aug 2008 when PS3 was outselling the 360 here in the US despite still having the $130 higher price tag. It was AFTER MS dropped the 360 down to $199 did it start selling more than the PS3 again. Let's keep it real here......
In the last 4 days of May, Infamous sold 176,000. Combine that with the 192,000 in June and you have 368,000 units. Now I know some of you bots will complain saying "you can't tack on 4 days for Infamous because prototype didn't come out till June 10th. That's 10 less days"
Ok then, so let's do some readjustment.
Say Infamous does 360,000 vs Prototype on 360 @ 430,000 (gave you 10 more days of sale). You still have 190,000 people buying Prototype on PS3...
a few factors here.
Infamous is the better game but still doesn't mean Prototype is a terrible one. That being said, there are those PS3 owners who bought Prototype instead of Infamous. When all is said and done, Infamous still outsold Prototype on PS3. The fact of the matter is, PS3 gamers had 2 games to choose from so it's no wonder that Prototype on PS3 took a little piece of the pie. Unlike on 360 where those gamers only had ONE choice, so they had to get Prototype. I ca...
As the article stated the PS3 has sold faster in the same time period from release as the 360. Some other things to keep in mind.
-PS3 didn't have a simultaneous world wide release.
-PS3 had competition on the market unlike 360 did when it released
-PS3 came out at $500/$600 and still sold at a faster rate than what 360 did
-PS3 Just last year at this time (Jan-Aug) the PS3 was outselling the 360 month to month even with the higher price tag (was $130 more) bef...
Wipeout HD was WELL WORTH the $20. Any cheaper and it's almost a sin not to buy it. Great game. I need to start playing it again.
LOL @ Vega for thinkin it's Sony that's doing the "stealing". The fact of the matter is, MS has taken avatars from Nintendo and motion control via camera from Sony. Sony has had motion games on the market since 2004/2005, so let's keep it real here folks. MS is the one who is playing catchup.
You claim Sony is playing catchup because of what Natal can do. The fact of the matter is, Natal isn't even on the market yet. If anyone is playing catchup, it's MS.
Sony has been offering stuff that Natal showed at E3 way back in 2005 back on PS2. Example; remember the game MS showed at E3 where the guy is controlling the avatar and they're hitting balls back that are coming towards them? That's the same as Kinetic Wildfire on PS2 circa 2005.
And the rewind feature is just hilarious. Can you rewind a crash in real life? I thought this was supposed to be simulation.
It's what happens when you have such a huge first party studio. 360 may have "more" games overall (about 300) but how many of those games are actually QUALITY games worth talking about? It cracks me up when I hear Xbots talking about "360 has more games!"
As of the past few years, it's the PS3 that's had more of the quality EXCLUSIVES. I mean look at this year alone, PS3 has had MLB 09 The Show, Killzone 2, Infamous, Flower, Yakuza 3 (JP only so far) and wh...
Blowing smoke. Turn 10 must be good at it. All that smack talking towards GT and nothing to show for it. ROFL
Of course I can easily save up $50 a year. Unlike you, who stupidly throws money away, I look where my money is going. Those like me can see that XBL is not worth $50 a year.
Better luck next time kid..........
I must ROFFLE at the "XBL costs a few cents a day and shouldn't be factored in".
and loving every minute of it. Also also purchased a set of Sony DR-BT101 bluetooth headphones and they're great. I can control all the music on my PSP with the convenient buttons on the headphones all while my Go sits comfortably in my pocket. Also have a 16GB M2 stick on order from Amazon to finish off its 32GB greatness. I too have a PSP 2000 and this thing is well worth the $250 price. The whole playstation PORTABLE part has increased 5-10x when considering size, features (bluetooth ...
