But then at the end in the "small text" they state things like messaging is faster on the XMB as well as entering/exiting the XMB. You know, things be do MORE often than comparing trophies. ROFL @ journalism.
I really like the statement about MS giving people PIECES of the internet and people think it's revolutionary.
I'm gonna copy and paste and reply to your list with my responses having an asterisk (*) next to it.
OTHER XBL FEATURES that will NOT come to PSN:
1. Picture sharing
* FALSE - PSN already has picture sharing. Meaning when I send someone a message on PSN, I can attach a photo that I have on my HDD and can send it. Home also has picture sharing (via picture frames).
2. Live TV w/Tivo-like support via PC (Mediacenter)
* False again, PSN has Play-...
Chubear hit the nail on the head.
Some other features that PSN has that XBL doesn't is web browser. I can't tell you how many times I've used it (and yes I have a PC right next to my PS3 hooked up on the same HDTV) but if I just want to look up something quick then it makes it much easier. I like how MS was touting about Facebook and Twitter. Great, PSN has been doing that since 2006.... I can't wait till they add in-game web browser. Imagine you're stuck on a game and you...
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue sold 3.7 million and it's not even the full game. I bet GT5 will do near 5 million. Maybe even over if they bundle it.
On the actual ground. This is not surprising. Remembering that home is still a "game" (not really a game but you know what I mean), they can still implement characters into it. Much like how they did with the Siren mini-game, you have the zombies from Siren in Home. They can to this with a TON of games. Imagine if they had a huge promo concert with Sony characters like Snake, Rachet/Clank, Jak/Daxter, GT5 racecar driver, Sweet Tooth, ect lol
Until then, I give the game a 6.0 out of 10. I gave Bomberman Live 7/10
Sony doesn't wait till it gets a 33% failure rating before they decide "Hey, we have a problem here".........
XBL only has 3 features on PSN: Cross Game Voice Chat, Cross Game Invites, and 30 second voice recorded messages.
PSN has Web Browser, Home, 15 person text chat (x4 possible), and the sucker punch that blows all of LIVE's features out the water, Game Sharing. And to top it all of, it's free.
It reminds me of the PS3 Orange Box port.
"You will wait for something that's worth waiting for right?"
Exactly.
You also forget Flower and MLB 09 the Show. Both of with will be remembered at the end of the hear as some of the TOP games of 2009.
If I want to look at great trees or Grass for that matter, I'll go play Flower. Oh wait, 360 can't handle that game.... :P
People with the $200 XBOX 360. rofl Let's add up some things that you need even compete with the PS3.
$50 for XBOX Live (100 in 2 years ect)
$20 for plug and play kit.
$100-150 for either a 60GB or 120GB HDD.
$100 for Wifi
So now we're already lookin at at least $470 just to option your cheap 360 to just SOME of the stuff the PS3 offers out of the box. Go home. Logic fails you.
Before you clamor about sales, remember sales don't mean better. But since you like to cling to sales so much, let's look at these numbers.
GT Franchise: Over 50 million
GT 5 Prologue: 3.67 million copies sold and considering the fact that PS3 has a smaller userbase than 360 and it's not even the full game, it's a mere spec of what the full game will be.
Forza 2: 3.9 million copies sold even though it's on a larger install base for 360 and it came...
When you build up a franchise as high as GT is, you don't need to rush and churn games out every 2 years. You can take your time because you know the fans will wait and the game will be EPIC. Games like Forza 2 need to be churned out quickly, almost like what EA does with NFS.
You claim no game has reach the Forza 2 community? g-t-f-o
Gran Turismo as a FRANCHISE is over 50 million copies sold.
Gran Turismo 5 PROLOGUE (big demo) has sold 3.67 mil...
I thought it was hilarious that they announced L4D2 already. I thought to myself, man they are really MILKING this thing aren't they. Kind of like what EA did to the NFS series. Oh well, sour grapes. I said that it's not gonna be anything but the same old azz engine with new levels, weapons, and some zombies. AKA DLC worthy ROFL
They try to talk about sales but Forza 2 came out in May 07 and has sold 3.9 million copies on a larger 360 userbase. GT5P came out in April 08 (here in the US), is not even the full game, and is on the smaller console userbase and it still sells 3.67 million.
It's clear that Gran Turismo carries a LOT more weight with it's console base than Forza does with xbox.
Gran Turismo >> Forza
lol at the people who think otherwise. They can take all the time they want with Gran Turismo 5 because they and the fans know the game will be epic. The games always deliver, that's why they sell so well.
Some of you want to talk about sales. Forza 2 sold 3.9 million. It came out May 2007 and is on a system with a larger userbase. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, which isn't even a full game but more of a "glorified demo" has sold 3.3 million, came out here in April 2008...
Most of my rebuttal was actually stating whats available NOW. Your small window discription is hilarous. Are you actually trying to sell your view of Picture Sharing as a pro of XBL? Seriously, anyone who wants to show someone a picture will either
1.) Attach the picture in the message and send it to them
2.) Setup a video conference
3.) If they want to hang the picture up as "decoration" they'll just up in Home.
I then love how you try to ca...
