I love the Souls series but it's not for everyone. I believe a lot of people are gonna buy this game without knowing what they're getting themselves into. XD

I have a buddy who started with Dark Souls and he found Demon's Souls easier. I think it has to do with the fact that you already learned how the system works and are naturally more cautious. I found each subsequent entry easier than the last. But we'll see how Bloodborne goes. No more block and strafe to win tactics.

Actually Silent Hill 4 dared to be different and was not well received at the time. However, now you look back at it and the 1st person view, the hauntings and the bizarre imagery seem to have heavily influenced P.T. That game is definitely the black sheep of the original series, but I believe that it brought a lot of interesting ideas to the table.
There is no such thing as bad publicity. Either positive or negative, this game got a HUGE amount of press coverage. And at the end of the day the word got out. Love it or hate it, there's no way this game is gonna be a sleeper.
Haters who weren't planning on buying the game to begin with get to say "I told you so" while people who were looking forward to buying this game will still get it and most likely enjoy it. Everybody wins.
No such thing exists for PC... You just got the regular game. The definitive edition is next gen console exclusive with re-built graphics.

This looks great. But the main obstacle to cross the uncanny Valley has been the eyes. It's really difficult to make a realistic stare and not look like some sort of machine. A picture with the eyes closed isn't the best to make that statement. Still, very damn impressive.
I don't know. Between school and work I don't have time to read every review I stumble upon. I usually read in general, pay full attention to the closing statement and then look at the score. I do that with a couple of reviews from sites I trust and I reach a concensus about buying the game. I personally like scores because they give me a quick idea of how good a game is. I still use my own judgement if it's a game that's hotly debated. But dropping scores would make me waste ...
