Yes. Maybe then the younger generations will understand why Kefka is the greatest FF villain of all time.
Since this game broke the record for crowd funding a long time ago... Every single dollar above that is technically a new record... So how is this constant news? We get it. People keep pouring money into this project. No need to make an article for when it hits 350 mil, 360 etc...
Sadly... Even "gameplay" trailers can be misleading. Anywhere from downgraded graphics to removed features. I hate the fact that the current state of the industry has made me so cynical.
Very pro consumer move.
That's no coincidence. Metro was developed by some of the people who worked on the original Stalker games. It's widely considered as Stalker's spiritual successor.
Been burnt one too many times by impressive "in-engine" trailers that don't represent the final product at all. Hate to sound passimistic but until there's some beta footage that closely resembles the final product I ain't getting on the hype train.
You sir, have completely sold me on the game. XD

These are actually pretty awful lol. With the exception of Zarya, if you didn't tell me those were supposed to be Overwatch characters, I'd have no idea. XD

The director is Miyazaki from From Software.
Anthem takes that price. Not only did it had a disastrous launch, but it never bounced back. The devs pretty much gave up on the game. Cyberpunk eventually will become the game it was supposed to be. NMS is a story about perseverance because Hello games could've easily hung up the gloves when the game was pretty much universally hated and yet they completely turned it around. If you bought Anthem you will never have anything to show for it

Ikr... All I did was point out that there are roguelikes out there with good stories (this one in particular being a goty contender).
Try Hades if you want to see how a compelling story can fit a roguelike setting.
Ironically, it did lead to huge sales... Then to massive refunds.
Oh look... They could've delayed the game a couple of weeks and spared themselves such a disastrous launch...
Very well. I genuinely hope that this game finds a target audience. It's a bold endeavor making a game like this.
I genuinely don't know if this game is serious or a massive troll job...
Back in the days of purely physically media, stores like Gamestop had a limited supply of copies and if it was a big game it made sense pre-ordering. For the life of me I don't get pre-ordering digital media. Sometimes they will offer some sort of dlc as an incentive, but it's rarely something that justifies blindly throwing money at a product that may or may not be playable.
RE4 is very similar to FFVII in the sense that a lot of people started there and therefor think it's the best. But the old school fans know that's where the downfall of the series started. In terms of gameplay it's an excellent game, but as part of the RE series it's an absurd game. You are tasked to go by yourself to rescue the president's daughter from a cult that operates from a medieval castle run by an evil midget. It's all extremely cartoony compared to the horro...
