It is a team based game so why not give access to the team early on? Very good idea here.
A new color? seriously? That's all? Tell you what, from now on make the unlockable worth unlocking or don't bother k?
Just as any other source can be, however this is just a rant that adds nothing to anything.
Currently it reminds me of the PS2 Samurai Champloo game (NOT A GOOD THING) but with improvements. I'll have to keep watch to see what develops I suppose.
They are getting the same amount of bang for their buck, it's just they spend more buck and the extra content bang will occur later so I guess it equals out. Still sucks if you wanted in on PC though.
A good current gen Batman game. Let's hope these guys can pull it off (I never played the game mentioned so I don't know their quality).
So you're saying that parents should be responsible for their children? ABSURD!!! (This is Sarcasm for those that don't get it....)
Reviews have been broken for a long time according to that open letter...
that was perfect!
Who trusts ign? Has everyone forgotten the old "you can't spell ignorant without IGN"? I mean I trust GI for the most part (as far as I trust any review at all) and regardless of scores, I think it looks fun so I'm getting it. others that enjoyed the demo should do the same.
I'll be grabbing this one. Sure it may have issues, but if I've having fun with my hack and slash then I don't mind so much. I still play Dynasty Warriors games so I don't mind a little more of the same.
I may pick this up if it allows me to battle with my friends over PSN. It'll be good practice for when SF2HD hits.
There was an old spice challenge and people got plenty of freebies on XBLA. It was a big hit and made people buy/rent mroe games to quickly increase their scores to earn the rewards (which were bigger than just XBLA).
As far as costing them money, the development part costs money. It hardly costs anything to maintain it on the server. And many people would buy it outright as well so I don't think it's going to be effected all that much. The change will come when people that...
Whether you or I or anyone else likes it or not. It's not about beating the other guy, but it is about making it worth it. It is a nice perk but much like gamerscore is worthless (I happen to enjoy it although I'm not a trophy whore myself, it's cool when you get one if it was purposeful like completing some hard objective, not you finished the level! type).
It's the same with gamerscore. I like getting the achievments and it does give some replay, but I'm not going to play ...
I think it would be better stated as it would encourage some people to play more games in order to earn rewards rather than what people do now which is play them for gamerscore (which has no purpose).
PJ Eden, Monsters is confirmed to have them soon as is Warhawk, Not to mention upcoming PS3 games such as Bioshock also have them coming. Your point is true, gamerscore and achievements are more wide spread, but they still mean nothing. Trophies could change that, but the question is will they?
That's exactly the point, right now it means nothing, but if Sony is wise they can implement a rewadr for getting a higher level.
We can't call it revolutionary. New? I would agree with from what we've seen thus far. We'll have to see what it's like when it launches or if some critical flaw holds it back (not saying ti will have one, I think the game looks like a lot of fun).
In any case, this is a game to watch for certain.
But the article is still stupid. He has to do bad things to save people sure, but so do soldiers in any army. Snake could play teh hero card if he choose to, people consider him to be one, he himself knows that he is nothing more than a hired killer. And if he wasn't someone else would be.
