I'm hoping that means it'll be released sooner, as after 2023 will just be overkill. Then again, there'll be 12 years or more between Skyrim and whenever VI is released.

I think whatever Rocksteady is working on will be the template for team based Superhero games.
If the best thing people can say about an Avengers game is "it doesn't look too bad", then they've failed as a developer. This would've been a fine opinion to have pre-2009, but we're now living in a post Arkham Trilogy/Spider-man ps4 world now, we expect more from our superhero games. Arkham Knight and Spier-man Ps4 are among the best games this gen has to offer, not just in terms of the superhero genre, but gaming as a whole, and this is what they're following ...
I've never seen a triple A game of this size be so close to release yet have so little to show.
Extremely good game that's very, very underrated. I can't wait to see what a sequel will bring, especially after "that" ending.
Day 1 for me. They could've easily just remastered 1 and called it a day, but it's clear they're trying to get this right.
Sony's 1st party studios are second to none.
I only played the 2nd one and it was great, so I'm looking forward to this as well.
Based on previous rumors, Mafia 1 will be a complete remake, Mafia 2 will be something between a remake and a remaster, and Mafia 3 will be highly improved from the base game we currently have.
I think there's 2 ways things can go in:
1- They plan on drastically changing things, as you mentioned.
2- They plan on having FF7 be their main story for the next 10+ years, and will continue it across 5-7 games.
Due to the lacking reception of their previous FF games, I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to just stick with what works, as seen by both sales and reception of this remake.
I've never played the original, so correct me if I'm wrong, but is there honestly a chance of this being longer than a trilogy ? I know if they want to cover all the side material such as movies, prequels, etc. it can be, but I can't see the base game being extended past 3.
Based on the lackluster reception of the last assassins focused games (unity, Syndicate, Rouge), why would they go back to that ? Origins and Odyssey were by far the best received games since Black Flag (which itself wasn't assassins focused) so it makes all the sense in the world to continue in that road.
It would help if people had realistic expectations. If Rockstar or any other major company were going to announce something, we'd hear about it ahead of time.
I dislike the leaks as much as anyone, but it's clear from this trailer that there's way more context involved than what was leaked.
If the purpose of this trailer was to win back fans who turned their backs on the game after the recent leaks, mission accomplished.
I didn't know it was inappropriate to say stealing and destroying property is wrong.
