They're going slower than the last 3 years since this was announced. I honestly can't believe it's been that long since we first got that teaser trailer. With this being announced the same year Uncharted 4 released, maybe their next game will get teased this November-December.
Exactly. 10 aren't as easy to come by as some would make you believe, so whatever this game offers must be as perfect as a game can be. A lot of people are saying that it's because of the first game's reputation, and that's completely false. Arkham City in 2011 had a Metacritic score of 96, while Knight only got 87. Don't get me wrong, 87 is very good, but it shows that a game's score has nothing to do with what came before it.
I understand not everyone ...
I noticed a lot of reviewers getting hated on for giving this perfect scores, but wouldn't it make more sense to reserve judgement until you've played the game ? I get it, the leaks...weren't popular, but you do realize those were a few minutes out of a 20+ hour story, right ? To judge an entire game this big on minutes of leaks just doesn't seem fair to me.
"One of the industry’s biggest publishers spent the entirety of a generation focused on GTAO, one other remaster and making one other game new game which is beyond appalling"
GTA V is still in the top 10 game sales every month, and Online makes more $$$ than the majority of new games released. Why would they make something new ? I hate it as much as anyone, but it makes sense business wise.
Gamers unlimited support for this game is the reason for this.
Gaming is a business, and financially speaking, this is the right move to make. Gamers refuse to not only put the game down, but spend millions on it each year. If anyone here who's against this release was in charge of the company, wouldn't you take advantage of this once in a lifetime success ?
Based on what the first one does to my Ps4, it's safe to say this one will catch it on fire.
If this is only the beginning of what they have, then yes, they'll easily win.
Don't blame the companies, blame the people supporting them with millions of $$$ a year, despite being a 7 year old game.
Gamers only have themselves to blame, as its their yearly support of online that's keeping this game alive.
Yes, but hopefully it'll be a bit longer. I'm really happy they're doing this as not only will Spider-man 2 not have to spend time developing Miles, it'll make the wait a lot easier.
Set up Miles in his own game, then jump straight into the action in Spider-man 2. This is a great move, plus it'll make the wait for 2 a lot easier, as it probably won't be out till 2022.
This seems to be a spin off that'll set up Miles.
Same here, I just hope it's not too small. I definitely think it's the right move to establish Miles in a smaller title first instead of wasting part of the full sequel doing so. This way, we can jump right into things with Spider-man 2. Anyway, the Ps5 and this game are day 1 for me.
what an amazing piece of tech. I know it'd look good, but my god has it surpassed my expectations.
can we enjoy something for once without bringing politics into it ?
probably not until the ps6.
is this a full sequel or a smaller side game set between ?
Sony needs to completely knock this out of the park, as they need to get people seriously talking about the ps5.
They tried and no one bought it back in 2013.
