I don't think it was an issue of her letting go and forgiving him, but not being able to tell him that she did. Joel died not knowing what her decision would be, something that will follow her forever.

Go play it again, and again, and again, until you understand it.

Joel died to save her, so would she really do that, resulting in him dying for nothing ? Ellie said multiple times that she wanted to die not to save humanity, but because she didn't have a reason to live. I think 3 will be about her not only regaining her humanity, but finding a reason to live, just as Joel did after losing his daughter.

I think Ellie's decisions are going to result in her having to start over completely, without these old characters she's familiar with.

I want to talk about the biggest problem fans have with this, Joel's death. Everyone say his death was rushed and out of nowhere, but did you stop to think why it was done like that ? because that's how death is in real life. You don't get a grand final, or some last moment speech, people unfortunately die out of nowhere while doing everyday things, just as Joel was doing. Joel's death was the most realistic death I've ever seen, as he was just doing something he'd bee...

This game's story and ending are by far among, if not the best I've ever seen. It says so much about people's inability of letting go of the past, and all the consequences that come with it.

Both Ellie and Abby are just shells of their former selves. Ellie went from living a peaceful life among friends to ending up completely alone at the end. The people closest to her either turned their back on her, or ended up dying for her. Her inability to forgive Joel wil...

If there's one point to take away from this game is to learn to let go, no matter how hard it may be.

So much for the "I'm not buying it crowd", as not only has it shown how small of a percentage they make up, I'll go as far as to say a good number of those people bought it day 1.

I haven't played it yet, but based on the first one, everyone is essentially trying to survive. There is no good or bad, just eat or be eaten. In a world where society and law has completely collapsed, you can either kill or be killed. It's an unfortunate truth about human nature. Even the best of us would be forced to make some morally questionable decisions if we were put in such a world.

Everything looks great, but I'm still not on board with the new designs. They're not bad or anything, just off. Maybe once I get the game I'll be more used to them. I really hope this is a long game, as it's been forever since we got a proper crash game.

That's a great name, hopefully it means the announcement will be before August 22nd.

Same here. The idea of these 2 iconic franchises being forgotten is something I never liked, so I'm extremely happy to see them back and stronger than before.

I wish Metacritic would put some system into place that only allows people who have the game to rate it.

If Gta Online's support continues as it is now, they can easily go the next 2 generations without making a single game, and still be one of the most profitable publishers in the business. Gamers are to blame for this, not the Rockstar.

You know why they'll charge 60 for it ? because countless people will buy it a 3rd, or maybe 4th time without a second thought.

No one gets into business for any other reason than making money.

2199d ago 2 agree13 disagreeView comment

Newsflash, every company is in business for one reason, and one reason only, money. Rockstar did things differently back in the day because, you guessed it, it made them money. Rockstar are doing things the way they are now because not only does it makes them money, it makes them more money than they ever made back in the day. Don't trick yourselves, no company, no matter what PR bull they put out, is in business for anything other than money.

Because they have no idea what they're doing. What would you expect from a developer who cancelled 3 games in a row and a publisher that somehow kept funding them, despite their game have 0 chances of making up all that money ?

I agree that Online will always be the priority post launch, but not having a massive single player component is too risky, as both V and RDR2's massive sales were mostly due to their single player stories.

There was a 5 year gap between IV & V and another 5 year gap between V & RDR2, so if we go by that, then VI should release in 2023 or at the latest 2024.
