and don't forget that japan has to be pissed at getting shafted.
think about it...our own national company that we support through thick and thin are making sure the americans are taken care of before us.
then they may start thinking...well this M$ sure is going out of their way to please us. they give even though we show no love...well they seem to care and support us...lets give ol M$ a shot.
Solidus, it does not matter where you are. with only 500,000 going out...everyone will be waiting well into 2007 to get a ps3. well...except those with 360's.
JIN...saints row is really good. it is so well done.
i hope it lights the fire under GTA a$$ and they try to top saints row. competion is good...that's why EA sucks.

well, at least you have two things to be glad about:
1. you live in a big city...so you MIGHT get one.
2. if you do manage to get one and IF the online arena is working...with such a small group of PS3 owners, it will be like you live in a small city. everyone will know everyone

had one since launch and not one hick-up...but if it makes you feel better to think that there was all these messed up 360's...go right ahead.
in the mean time i will be enjoying my next gen games on my 360...that is what makes me feel better.

To those who thought M$ launch was not a sucess...i guess you understand now why it was considered one. they did it world wide and did a fast job catching up with demand. well, not fast enough for those who didn't get one right away, lol.
if you are a dreamcast fan the 360 might be your calling.
it has been rumored for a long time that dreamcast games are coming to xbox live arcade.
well it is a gamble...but if they would ever get it right...a lot of money stands to be made.
but at some point you have to regroup, start looking at something that will make money and try again after you have recovered.
they just keep diving in...somebody please put up a sign...no diving in the shallow end (or get sony some floaties).
man you are keeping yourself from some good stuff. with your HDTV, you could be enjoying some really good games for the 360.
i don't understand, buy a 360 now...in two years get a PS3 when the cinks have been worked out and the price is down...plus a lot of games will have been reduced from $80.00 (or something like that) to half price ($40.00). $40.00 sure dosen't sound half price though.
i wonder if this will cause even more games to be canceled for the PS3.
the effect of this announcement is probably still moving through the gaming world.
i am sure the effects will start to show here soon.
game companies do not stand to make a lot of money off of 500,000 consoles.
i wonder how japan feels about the U.S. getting more PS3's than them from their own company? betrayed? some gamers in japan might start having tho...
no telling how long it will really take after the 400,000 are sold...i am sure it will be well into 2007.
guess the world wide launch of the 360 was sucessfull after all. makes you realize how well M$ did...good job M$. and good job on catching up to demand so quickly.

speaking of that. the guy running the gamestop near my house said that the Sony reps has changed the PS2 kiosk 5 times since launch. (because they quit working)
the orginal xbox kiosk...not once...same system since the launch.
Some people can only afford one system. so that is one reason for you.
some people could afford more than one, but have families and they come first (so money is better spent else where)...there is another reason for you.
i fall some where in between those...so i choose M$...been a good choice since 2001.
i agree. i love that microsoft controls it all and that my credit card is with one company...well expect EA.
see my reply to #9. he created the IP and the formula for the entire series. IF you played one and two...then you know that 3 & 4 are just first person views of the first two.
i mean they even play almost the same...same type of missions everything.
i would argue that really the first two had better missions than any of the others...i wish they would go back and remake the first ones in first person and in next gen graphics.
i have played 1 through 4. he created GTA. his GTA 1 & 2 have the exact elements that 3 & 4 use...or i should say 3 & 4 use the same elements of the first two to be exact.
anyway, all 3 & 4 did was turn it to first person and add cut scenes...plus more real estate.
this guy deserves full credit for the creation of the IP and formula that makes up the entire series.
everyday i wake up and log on to the net, i am always greeted with more reason of why it is good to own a 360. i am in my happy place. Thank you Tomonobu Itagaki for the 1st good reason for today...(so far)
