Maybe they aren't so arrogant as before, but at least they should be truthful. They didn't even include Vita sales numbers in their report, but mixed it up with PSP sales and the total was 600,000 more or less units. Now if they didn't put individual numbers of PS Vita, I can only guess that very little of the 600,000 units that were sold were Vita's. I'm getting a PS4, but my long term trust for them has degraded.
I doubt they're even losing money, but that's good to hear. They are basically using tablet/laptop components. Plus Blu-ray dvd's aren't that expensive anymore. Moreover, I bet they are getting some kind of credit for every Xbox One sold because they are using Blu-ray technology.
1. Wow hahah I like how articles like this with animosity towards Wii U think that it needs to be changed in someways to be "accepted". Since when did the most powerful console win the console generations. Please tell me when! He does not consider many outside factors like economic depression or that PS4/Xbox One are so alike they have the same experiences, and their heavy dependance on 3rd party
2. Why isn't anyone talking about Sony. About how they sold ...
Hmmmmm I wonder why some 3DS although 2-3 years old cost $30-$40 products? Quality and replayability ofcourse. Also why did you only choose using 3DS to Vita? Why not Wii to Xbox 360/PS3 or even Wii U to PS4/Xbox One. Considering that you need to pay to play online and the $400 and $500 price tag plus games makes PS4 or especially Xbox One for the complete experience. Whilst the Wii U don't need to pay to play online.

What is sad is that PS4 and Xbox One are so similar you'll get the same experience. The only different experience I see is with the Wii U.
Yes it is very unfair for the established fans. Hopefully, with the help of Nintendo, Bayonetta 2 will surpase the first Bayonetta in..............everything! That was also the goal of the Bayonetta 2 dev team at Platinum Games.
The only reason that this is coming back is all because of Nintendo. Microsoft, Sony, and even Sega didn't want to bring a sequel. It's impossible to bring this to other platforms unless Nintendo let's it which is very unlikely. Nintendo found it's uniqueness and will bring the best out of it before it releases.
Do you realize some of what you mentioned are exclusives to the PS4/Xbox One. Anyway Sony/Microsoft need 3rd party to survive. You can say that their exclusives are great, but the only way they stay afloat is third party games. The Wii U is next gen no matter how you look at it because it is the next new console released from Nintendo. The 3DS is currently wiping the other consoles in sales with what? Only with 1st and 2nd party with only a little dash of 3rd party! All in all it's the qu...
“I think it’s important to consider the context of Mr. Iwata’s statements as well as the question of what is being referred to as “art” here. If by “art” you’re meaning “making games that are mostly on-rails with hours of non-interactive, high-definition cutscenes”, then you’re saying games should aspire to be more like films (which are more readily accepted as art by the mainstream public). And there are indeed plenty of those to go around anymore; nowhere is that as evident and emphasized a...
Right now, everything's too early to tell. Wait till next year after the PS4/Xbox One come out. Then we will probably get the results next year. All the articles about Wii U's doom and PS4 winning are all speculation given the information we have now. Real world performance is all that counts.
It was Shokio who won....... just kidding! All their debate was about the upcoming future of the Wii U. As far as anything goes we don't know how the Wii U will turn out to be. We will only see it after next year.
Buy this for the Wii U or PC save yourself money from paying online.
You should watch this guys. It's about the Wii U situation. Credits to Playeressence.

By the end of the year they would allow PC and Cellphone purchase, linked 3DS/Wii U accounts?, more games, probably a price drop, more features with the fall update, more advertising, and probably a new bundle. Either Nintendo is being secretive about this although they mentioned them a few times already or we have short attention spans.
Better AI, graphics, features yes. However, I see no innovation from both PS4 and Xbox One as of YET.
With the continuous decline of our economy, I'd have to say that $400 dollars is the borderline ok mark. $300 is probably the sweet spot for a gaming console. However, I do understand the tech that was put inside this might be a little expensive. The average consumer, which is the majority of the buyers, do not care for the tech inside, but care for how much the thing eats their wallets. I'd say that the Wii U right now is leading in price friendliness. The problem with the Wii U is t...
A real gamer in my definition are people who just play games for the fun of it. They do not care for visuals. They are not very picky into which type of game they play. They do not discriminate a console without proper reasons such as becoming an unfriendly gaming console. They do not bring down people for self satisfaction, but they spread the fun of games so that others might experience it with them. They do not judge a console's worth by it's hardware capabilities, but the unique e...
Sorry PS4/Xbox One fans, but this is coming for PC, Wii U, PS3, and Xbox 360 so far. PS4/Xbox One versions of the game are being considered right now.
