His statement has already been happening since he became president. Nintendo doesn't go with trends that have been changing constantly ( why fix it when it's not broke? ). You can almost say that they create trends. Out of the big three, i think they are the ones taking the biggest risk and at the same time maybe even playing it safe. They release games that have been popular for at least 3 decades already and I have yet to see a decline. Risk: because whenever they innovate, it might...
Who knows, when the 3DS gets its next big update this year, the Wii U might actually have a surprise update also, unifying the accounts. DON'T EXPECT TOO MUCH though. It will leave you very disappointed. It's better to expect less, but hey if this happens, that would be sweet!
Also, Mr. Iwata already said that by the end of the year, people will be able to purchase games directly from their phones. That is a big foreshadow for a unified account system, or if less, at le...
What you're seeing is Alpha footage. It's not even reached beta yet. Imagine the improvements they have made in everything once this game comes out!

This update is only the first of many more to come. Hopefully, there are more fixes/features/performance improvements in the future.
I'm curious how Nintendo's Wii U will fare in China. After all, it's the only "next-gen" console with free internet, HD, and also the cheapest out of the 3. Maybe even their exclusives will help with sales.
Right now the Wii U is at its lowest that it can't go down any longer. So what's the onlyway you can go? Up of course, and the Wii U will do just that once it's major titles finally come out. Can't believe articles like these are nit picking when they know that the big hitters haven't even come out yet. For some reason I feel as if there will be a big amnesia next year amongst the haters and negative press. They will claim that they never said that the Wii U is dead when i...

Why should Nintendo do it now? Why should Nintendo price cut the Wii U when most of their big hitters aren't even out yet? Why is doing a price cut and bundle a very good and popular game with it not a good idea?
I don't understand why people downplay the Wii U when it's a capable system when used right. If you like graphics so much them why not get a gaming PC. No money? So you settle on Ps4/XboxOne and their graphics couldn't even come close to a modern gaming PC. Whoever gets the console versions of a game whether it'd Wii U/Ps4/Xbox One/Ps3/Xbox 360, it will be inferior to the PC from graphics all the way to AI.
Lesson is, don't downplay on other people's ...
You forgot the /s after your sentence.........
So you are saying that Xbox360/PS3 that had 7 years of optimization vs the Wii U which had only 9 months of optimization. Although you sound like a troll, try to reasonable. Even the PS4 and Xbox One will have those problems sometimes. I can't believe how much we have been spoiled because of Wii/PS3/Xbox360 era.
Pikmin 3 was not ment to be a big system seller. It merely took part on building momentum for Wii U sales in the future. Please don't forget that.
Imagine Watch_Dogs, Zombi U, Rayman Legends, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Zelda U,etc. with the Wii U's gamepad. Without it, the game would just feel so bland. The Gamepad brings another dimension of gaming experience that you can never find in any other console.
They should also put this on Wii U. Imagine what they can do with the gamepad. Like the inventory in there, maps, etc. That would be nice. Anyway good news for PS4.
Since when did the most powerful console win the console competition? Anyway the 3 next-gen consoles are comparable enough that this would be an interesting generation.
We have yet to see what the Big Summer/Fall Update will bring. Maybe they might even bring a form of cross game chat.
Don't get too hyped thinking that PS4/Xbox One will sell like crazy. For a few months, for sure it would be hard to find because of supply constraints. Our economy is going down right now and people are trying not to spend as much as they did before. More people these days are willing to spend on neccessities than wants. I'm excited that PS4/Xbox One are going to be released in a couple of months, but don't lose control of yourself.
Nintendo claimed by the end of the year, that you would be able to purchase from your PC/phone/tablet and the Wii U will automatically download and install via SpotPass. There was also a leak from a 3DS owner who accidentally accessed the Wii U eShop on his 3DS. By looks of things, unified accounts and an account sync system is coming with the Big Summer/Fall Update that is coming for the Wii U and 3DS.
Here is the quote from Teku Studios clearing up what they are doing with Directx11 features for the Wii U.
"Hi guys! Teku Studios here.
Just to clarify, we will ADAPT our DirectX11 features to Wii U, not that it supports them natively. However, we are very happy with Nintendo and its console, and we think that it well deserves that extra effort :)
Thanks for your comments!"
So far PS4/Xbox One only provide the same gameplay PS3/Xbox 360 with just better graphics and better AI.
