It's most likely the over-promising of Watch_Dogs and then suddenly under-provide to us gamers.
Well, great accomplishment to both Nintendo and Ubisoft. However, considering that Watch_Dogs not only realeased in multiple consoles and had more time than Mario Kart 8, I have to give Nintendo more credit.
Then there's longevity. I can see Mario Kart 8 keeping its $60 price for a couple of years longer than Watch_Dogs. Also, the memory matters. Which will be remembered by the gaming community longer, Mario Kart 8 or Watch_Dogs?

Considering that Project Cars is an indie title, I'm impressed that they were able to have that much quality compared to a million dollar project like Drive Club.

What people don't know or pretend to ignore is that it DOESN'T matter how MUCH it SELLS or who they SELL it TO (casuals, gamers, enthusiasts, etc.). Take note Sony. People don't do good when they know in the back of their mind that they could be fired anytime. If they don't have a sense of assurance that they won't be fired, they will be worrying over it.
Stop treating employees as subjects and start treating them like allies.

I partly agree with your statement, but since October, the Wii U has been moving units at a faster and steadier rate. With key titles like DK: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, X, Bayonetta 2, Yoshi Yarn, and many more hidden exclusives coming out this year, sales will definitely increase.

If that's the case, then why isn't this game going to be included with the Wii U. Xbox 360 and Wii U have basically the same architecture, the PowerPC. Plus I'm sure that the Wii U can handle this if Xbox 360/PS3 can.

Well although Nintendo's 3rd party support is meek, they're trying their best to fill in the gap with their 1st party and second party that can't be found else where. They're even trying to collaborate with other 3rd parties which Sony/Microsoft supposedly aren't doing.
