I just hope they add a few cool Jrpg characters to the game before the DLC starts.
Think he meant PS3 and Vita :p
Wow, I'm surprised at the sheer number of games that i'm excited for. Many of these I really can't wait to get my hands on. 2012/2013 Is going to be a great year and I bet 2013 will be an awesome E3 as well!
Just gotta make sure the whole "World ending" thing doesn't pan out >_>
I agree with you completely. As soon as I say SWTOR I thought "Wow really? It looks like every other mmo." And i'm a pretty big Star Wars fan. The concepts are all there, they just need to better the actual gameplay.
I'm very excited for GW2. And yeah, F2P is the way to go as long as it isn't Pay to Win.
I love Uncharted and drake is actually a really great character. But honestly I don't think this movie would do that well. What's the biggest market for Hollywood movies? NA (US specifically). And what region is the only one to prefer the 360? NA. I'm a diehard Sony fan (and a pretty big Nintendo fan too) but Microsoft has the US wrapped around it's tiny little finger. (I live in the US :p)
This movie will come out. It could actually be great. But there will b...
Ugh trying to Westernize everything makes me sick. I understand them wanting to gain greater sales in the West, but please not at the expense of losing what made your games great in the first place.
Also, this gen was weird in that it introduced the "Casual gamer" into the market. So it drove sales up for casual games and now companies want a piece of the casual pie. Problem is those casual players won't play any other game no matter how great of a clone it is ...
Seeing the boss with the glowing orange joints (yes I know it was present in the first Dead space as well) It just reminds me so much of Lost Planet :p
@ Fel08
Yes, so sick and tired of hearing about this casual "omg have you like, played angry birds? Like, I heard it was the best game ever!!!" *facepalm*
We get it. People will buy shit if it's cheap, just let it go already.
I want this to do well because I would like it to be a testament that mmos with a failed launch can turn things around. Also, because i'm a big FF fan :p
Can't wait for the PS3 beta!
I doubt a lot of the people who play iOS games on their phones or tablets would appreciate a game like FVII. Most of the people who play angry birds n such just do it to pass time and because it's "cool" right now. They aren't actually looking for an engaging and immersive experience. Especially not the kind an iconic game such as FVII would provide.
Plus i'd rather like to avoid the dumb comments from teen girls who play angry birds "Final Fantasy...
Yeah exactly. To me, if an rpg has memorable characters and story that you can recall even +10 years after playing it, as well as providing you with emotional attachment to what is going on, then it is a success.
Despite the good wrpg sales though, I doubt anyone will recall any character in those games. Whether it's the main character the player created, or the supporting characters that give you "tasks" to do along the way, they have no real personality or co...
I feel that the experience of playing a great game itself should be the reward. Getting a bunch of "carrots" is just an after thought.
So, why are Wrpgs so popular then? All you do is "do shit". The stories are hardly imaginative and the characters personality and attachment to the player is none existent. The game focus is literally on exploration and doing meaningless tasks that hold no true impact to the main plot line.
Yet right now they all seem to sell pretty well, though I have no freaking idea why.
Did totally fall in love with Valkyria Chronicles on ps3...then they made the next 2 for psp, and didn't even localize the last one.
Not saying the game will be bad, not saying the game will be good. Just saying with the name Halo, it doesn't matter. It's going to sell a shit ton no matter what.
Sony definitely caters to the core gamer more. Microsoft is too busy trying to get a chunk of Nintendos casual players and is losing grips on what truly matters. Games for REAL gamers.

Give me some Jrpg characters and i'll for sure buy the game!
FFVII is an iconic and legendary game. To a lot of us, it's the sole reason we got into gaming. It will forever be in our hearts and memories. The game has such a vast and powerful fanbase. That fanbase (myself included) holds it in such high regard, that I almost fear no remake would ever please us. Not because the remake wouldn't be good, but because nothing can ever be perfect, and we as die hard FFVII fans would demand nothing less than pure perfection. I think Square knows this a...
@ Veneno
Rofl, that made me laugh xD
Yeah that would be great. I don't mind a few characters coming as DLC, but i'd really want to be able to play as at least one or two awesome jrpg characters on release :p
