Ugh the screen where Raiden is hoping missles to get to the chopper. I hope this game isn't ridiculously over the top. Action is fine, i'm looking forward to it. I know this isn't a stealth game and i'm down with that. But I don't want this to be a generic hack n slash with no sense of realism at all. I wish Kojima had kept working on it instead of handing it off. I mean, I loved Vanquish from Platinum n all, but I don't want this game to be a bayonetta/dmc clone.

I totally agree, some of the trends this gen has brought us are seriously ridiculous.
Why is everyone talking like sales are the only thing that matter. Maybe in the past sales accurately displayed which console was the best but not anymore. This gen a LOT of casuals got into the market. So sale numbers don't mean anything. If we were going by sales then I guess Wii fit was the best game this generation right? /s.

Nobody wines about fps when say any of the Bioshocks come out. Nobody is whining about Bioshock Infinite either. Yes it's a technically a fps but it's so atmospheric and immersive. More games if they are going to be FPS need to be creative and interesting. Far too many are just trying to be a "typical military" themed game and they all end up being lost in the generic sea of 39438452 other games that went for the same theme.
I remember Media Molecule (back before they were a 1st party dev team for Sony) stating that a 360 version of Little Big Planet wouldn't have been possible on the 360. That's the kind of thing i'm talking about.
Also, bet you there are more games on PS3 with multiplayer than 360. And really "PS3 exclusives are static and linear with painted in graphics with little to no online multi player"? Okay, keep telling yourself that to make you feel better.
For me exclusives are what define a console. It's a huge part of the industry and I think it's good for the industry too. If there were no exclusives this gen A lot of Sony games wouldn't have been as good due to being hindered by 360's hardware.
Can't wait for 2013! This game looks great and i'm really hyped for it. Also can't wait for Beyond, Bioshock Infinite, and Versus XIII (Hey I can dream it will come out next year xD)
I don't think people have lost interest in FF at all. I did like FFXIII but i'll admit it was a little underwhelming compared to the other games in the series. But I'm fully convinced when FFVXIII comes out all eyes will be on it, fan and gaming news alike. It's a big deal.

Great character reveals. I'm still eagerly awaiting for Cloud and Sephiroth to be in it though. That alone would do wonders for the roster in terms of adding diversity as well as pleasing a HUGE number of fans both in Japan (they still need more Japan characters) and in the West.

I pre ordered the game today (The alt costuuuumes!) I'm really excited for it and can't wait to play. I just sincerely hope they include some FFVII characters.
That's because there is so many more exclusives to choose from on Playstation. For example, say I only have money for 1 game. So I buy Little Big Planet 2 instead of God of War or whatever. You can't expect everyone to buy every exclusive when their are so many of them.
Gears and Halo sell a sh** ton because the owners of 360 are literally starved for exclusives, so when one finally does roll around of course it sells well.

I love Snake and Raiden both so either would be awesome. Though I really really want Cloud and Sephiroth to be in it. Personally for me they define the PS1 era.
This game looks great, it's the exact type of game i've been waiting to get a Vita for. As soon as this get's over here, I might buy one!

The first game was a breathe of fresh air. It attempted to do something different and it succeeded. It definitely deserves a sequel!
