Because scores are arbitrary. There is no actual method of scoring a game. I mean, no reviewer can honestly tell me the difference between a 9.2 and a 9.3.
Focus on the review itself as a manner to inform yourself on your purchase. Don't ever hinge on a score. Hell, I'd "score" Army of Two higher than Resident Evil 5 personally.
