I think Grave could have been a great, great boss battle, especially compared to the "final boss" we ended up with.

I love games that illicit this feeling, and it's awesome that Reach does so. I myself plan to replay all of MGS, chronologically, this fall once the big releases die down. Anyways, the Halo mythology is totally great, I can spend hours just reading the Wiki.
(But I'm still miffed at the lack of Gravemind in Halo 3!)

FF13 had a lower resolution throughout the entire game, not just cutscenes.
Sales have gone way up for SOME franchises. The majority of titles fail to break even, even quality titles and GOTY contenders.
Buying 20 million copies of MW2 doesn't help the guys trying to make Alan Wake.
@Eamon - And yes, it's also up to devs to bring down costs. But people demand the best visuals, and it takes time and money to make HD content.
Yeah. Hopefully this also means less of their trademark barren textures and locations, and a bigger focus on near field quality.
