We moan because we are excited. We can't wait for the next adventure in a great series. We want to see how things have progressed in story, tech, gameplay, etc. It's anticipation.

I'm a huge L4D fan, and I even bought a new videocard just to run it beyond maxed out. THAT is where my distaste in this news comes from. IT has NOTHING to do with the damn 360.
It;'s because of the difference in business plans between EA and Valve, their history in support. Also because sports games usually add new rosters/features, it's been going on for so long that its the norm, since before DLC existed. Frankly, I think a yearly sports game is stupid, but the fans love it. Now, turn to Valve fans....
Valve's history was long time support of their titles. And nothing in L4D2 is ANYTHING above "mod" status to warrant a full retail game this ...

I'm actually heavily disappointed in Alan Wake, not just the tone... but the animation and facial animation seems much weaker than other titles such as Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2.
It's upsetting, but hopefully the final game is still solid.
My friends and I were VICIOUS with planting those Laptop guns. Goooood times.
ONE thing needs to be fixed however. The screen blur when you are knocked out/N-Bombed in Multiplayer... it would STAY after you respawned. Fix that!

Being a sequel in an established franchise is not a guarantee of a great game.
But why? This game was MADE for having 3 friends over and doing all night splitscreen parties.
Though I'm way, way anxious to see the visual updates.
People are creaming themselves over MGSR and Halo Reach, both of which have NO footage or solid release dates. How is this any different? Why is this being overlooked? Serious question, I want to know why the media is ignoring it.
I find it incredibly funny, especially if GTA4 is as amazing as everyone loves to say it is, and if MGS4 is so incredibly overrated as this site loves to stipulate.

MS impressed 360 owners. Sony impressed PS3 owners. I don't think EITHER did much of anything to convince the opposition to join their cause. Both showed a bunch of multiplatform titles and no show exclusives (Reach, Agent). However, both showed that each system has great 2009/2010 lineups ready to go.

I'm curious... all of a sudden, a 20 million gap is "nothing?" But the 8 million gap between the 360 and PS3 is so insurmountable according to fanboys on this site that Sony will NEVER pull ahead, it's totally, utterly impossible, even with a price cut and great software lineup?

It's a multiplatform title?
Both had great games. MS is winning "best conference" from many sites based on future tech. That's nice, but for someone like me who doesn't give a damn about motion controls, Sony and MS didn't do much for me in that department. Weird though, that consistently it seems to be Sony who is getting the awards for best game/games of show, with Uncharted 2 cleaning up left and right.
Sadly, MS STILL didn't entice me to pay for their system, since I can get those "XBox 3...
