Battlefield 4 = Truly next gen
CoD Ghosts = Fun game, but still not really a next gen game. Call of Duty has been milked dry for me, everything about it's online component is starting to get old.
Battlefield 4 is truly continuing the greatness and crazy things that happen in online play. Not to mention it's just so much fun jumping in a helicopter full of people and taking the fight to the enemy!!
****North America.
Why do Americans feel the need to be all hurrah hurrah USA release when it is releasing in NORTH AMERICA on November 15!!
Just sayin,
- Your friendly neighbour to the North ;)
@buynit
Pure win. Thank you for writing out that comment. If the "Xbone" is such garbage then why is it that everyone on N4G that is a diehard Sony fan feels they have to be bashing Xbox One no matter what the news is.
Really? I sense a little insecurity with some of the people writing comments. At least I can say I have made and formulated my own thoughts and opinions on the PS4 and Xbox One. I will be buying both and I couldn't be more excited...
You know there's something really wrong with this site when the voting bar says "Hopefully". I know I would vote "No way" whether its the Xbox One or PS4. Why do you guys want competition to fail?? Don't we want to have the most diverse options to choose from and play?
So sad how the collective minds and bandwagon effect has taken place in regards to these two consoles!
I'll have em both this gen!!!
ME TOO, But I also canèt wait to get my PS4 as well!!!
MULTIPLAT THIS GEN BABY. I feel like I missed out last gen.
Yeah you're right @ambientFLIER, but I think Forza and Forza 2 was when the guys at Turn 10 were still trying to go for a more pure physics and real life simulation type gameplay.
Forza 3 came around and they sort of made it more Arcade/Simulation with some real graphics but I think you get what I'm saying? Honestly I think if you look back PGR3 had better graphics than Forza 2 even though PGR3 was supposedly sub hd scaled up
@mega24
Yeah, it's a lot of money but I don't wanna be left out this go around. I love Killzone but I never owned a PS3..but I got very close to buying one at least three times but decided to just wait it out. And come on, DriveClub looks AMAZING.
I also managed to pick up a pretty good paying job over the summer (I'm a university student!)
I wish it was just like standard Elder Scrolls. Like how GTA Online is GTA with an Online component.
None of this BS WoW style "raid and pvp" stuff. Leave that terminology and style of gameplay there.
I think you forgot to read.
It says BRAND NEW IPs
You got 2 in your list sir
As much as I do enjoy my Sony games and think there are some instantly recognizable and big franchise names...I have yet to hear my parents make any mention of them.
All my parents know is Mario and Halo/Master Chief.
I'd say that's a marketing success. Even my dad (who is stuck in his baby boomer ways) knows exactly what Halo and Master Chief is. If I mentioned Sackboy or Nathan Drake or Solid Snake he'd be like wuuut.
Maybe it w...
Steering the conversation in a different direction:
BOOM, 4k support for games as well as media? Knew it. I just knew it didn't make sense to not support it. 4k is going to be much more affordable in ~2years give or take. And all these people said it just wouldn't happen.
Amazing news.
@malokevi
100% agreed.
The internet and the way it has swayed people on Sony/Microsoft has been really amusing. Can anyone think for themselves anymore??
I'll take em both on launch day ;)
Well I think the beta isn't representative of the graphics we'll be seeing. I wouldn't be surprised if the beta is running at a much lower setting. I mean the graphics really are bland and lines are not sharp (very blurred) on Xbox 360.
Xbox One/PS4 on the other hand is what I am concerned about since that will be what I am gonna purchase the game for..one of those two consoles (can't decide which)
You're stupid for playing while there was some serious issues with the online component until the new update.
It's your own fault.
Except the fact that hasn't microsoft had a business plan for the future of their brand drawn out since 20010?? Right after Kinect came out those documents made mention of a second screen didn't it??
Remote Play never really got off the ground for PS3 and it was just supposed to be playing the same game off a smaller screen.
SmartGlass was always conceived as making information more convenient and right there for you to use. I don't think you can ...
It's a strange duality for me;
In some aspects I love Battlefield 3 after coming off of Bad Company 2,
And in some aspects I loved Bad Company 2 more. I enjoyed the absolutely massive maps and town assault style maps that Bad Company 2 had and it's destructible buildings!!! Not to mention sniping was a whole lot more fun I think. I was a much better sniper in Bad Company 2 and I knew how to account for the bullet drop but Battlefield 3 is so much hard...
@jdoki That's what we hope at least,
There are probably some out there that just do it to wreck the experience. But at least they expose exploits and bugs that the devs might have missed
Well definitely there is some hardcore appeal. Battlefield is sort of inbetween. Battlefield is the best trade off between fun gameplay and a level of realism.
I can't play games like Operation Flashpoint because they are just so frustrating and boring
Im really not all that surprised by the constant stream of info rolling out. It was always the plan leading up to launch..Even Sony..That you sort of "trickle feed" the masses every couple of weeks until launch to keep people talking about the consoles.
I can't tell if you're serious, or just trolling...
