Haven't read the comments yet but I'd LOOOVE to see what Sony fans think of this. Microtransactions are universally hated on this site, but Shuh is universally loved for everything he says and does!!
In all seriousness I totally get what he's saying though, microtransactions are there because they know there are always people willing to pay their money's worth to get what they want out of a game.

If this is an article comparing supply and demand between Xbox and Playstation...Why are we getting the sources of where the Xbox One still has units, while no references were made that the PS4 was not in stock, but just simply "Store checks for PS4 came up empty"?

In a sense I agree with you, the console is AMAZING, BUT...I found Killzone to be not as great as KZ2 or 3 from what I've played of those games (never owned a PS3). I find myself spending all of my gaming time on my PS4 on Battlefield.
First party wise I'd say it's a good showing on PS4, but still a little lacking. Other than Battlefield I don't really do anything on my PS4. Same goes for Xbox One, it's just playing Forza all t...
And to think I preordered the PS4 and made sure to nab some games, the camera, and an extra controller beforehand....Only to find out there was no midnight launch (Xbox One did in my area tho for some reason) and I just strolled in like a boss with a big grin on my face and was out $700 within 10mins!!!

I'd rather play Forza and enjoy the beauty of all the cars in optimal lighting rather than in the dark..which is just an easy way to add less detail to the game if they did make night time...

I really don't like what I'm hearing here with how easy it's going to be for hackers to get into the system. Is our account information safe? What about my PS4? How long before the same happens with that console as well?
Like I said, I'd much rather have those security checks than have to be worried about this for the next ~5 years bef...

Corrine Yu was hired by Microsoft and specifically oversaw the development of the new engine for Halo 4. I don't see how she could have taken a job for which she deemed as a useless dead end. Like lots of people in the industry (and reading about her previous employment) she puts her touch on things and brought something new to the table, but was excited to move onto new and better things in her life. Maybe Naughty...
I think what people are forgetting here is that this is completely normal for any product to have an acceptable rate of failure. So far this is nothing to worry about at all. Just like @Ultra said; very few people out of 1million sales...The PS4 also has a minute range of people having problems. THE WORLD KEEPS SPINNING PEOPLE LOL

You must love typing in those 24 digit codes! What a waste of time when you can do it in a mere couple seconds. Same goes for me being able to sign into my PS4 instantly with facial recognition...it's just the way of the future. Making life easier

The first time I laid eyes on Motorstorm and played a store demo way back in the day..WOW. I thought it was unreal.
Now I've just completed Killzone SF and I'm like :O Exceeded my expectations graphically by a long shot. Online videos do NOT do this justice at all people ESPECIALLY when you have a good TV to game on with your shiny new PS4 :)

as much as I was blown away with the DS 4 the only problem I seem to have is that I've been playing the crap out of the PS4 and the fact that the triggers jut out so far seems to cause some discomfort in my hands when I've been doing it a long time...especially playing NFS or AcIV because those games involve a lot of holding the trigger down! But otherwise that controller is a grandslam

I refuse to play BF4 again til it is updated.
I was two levels or so from being done the campaign and it had already frozen a couple times but this time "The memory file has been corrupted" or something like that.
YAY now I have to start all over. WTF
Plus I can't even get into a multiplayer match
Now if they could fix the Battlefield 4 bug that made me lose my singleplayer progress 2 missions before I finished the game :(

Get what you're saying, however I wouldn't write it off as a gimmick just yet. Look at how much Kinect has influenced the TV market itself...Just like a week ago I saw an add for the new (Samsung, LG???) TV that allows you to use gesture commands (similar to Kinect and now what Xbox One uses). Look even at how Smart TVs have evolved, I bet at a time people said that that was a gimmick but now it is what TV manufactures must do in order to stay competitive.
