It needs to be cheaper than a TV because it is more limited use than a TV.
Your TV can be used for everything, and watched by a whole room full of people at once.
This thing can only be used by 1 person, and only with specific things designed for it.
I realize when you think about the parts inside of it, it is easy to compare it to the cost of a TV, but it's about the value to the customer and what it can be used for.

It's just the people that share games by not having their box set up as their home Xbox that can't play their own games.

If you could kill level 8 enemies as a level 6 then you must have had some sweet gear.
I was still using my starting guns because I never found anything better.
I played both betas. Just because my opinion is different than yours doesn't mean I didn't play it.
And I don't know what enemy you are shooting in Destiny that takes 30 minutes to kill but that is a clear exaggeration.
As for "just get better gear", that's easier said than done. I played the second beta for over 3 hours and never found a single gun that was better than my starting weapons. There wasn't anything even close. K...
That isn't the only thing they have in common.
They are being compared because they both are online RPGs with guns, loot, and repeatable missions to earn more and better loot, etc...
They are VERY similar games, that is why they are being compared with each other so often.
The Division is the only game that has attempted to be in the same genre as Destiny.

But even still, all the rest of the gameplay does nothing for me.
Part of that is just my play style, and I realize that.
The fast paced action of Destiny, jumping and floating around throwing space magic and meleeing things to death is more my style than crouching behind a desk or a parked car and shooting a generic "realistic" weapon at another guy who is crouched behind another desk or car.
I'm really surprised that these games haven't worn out their welcome yet.
I'm not saying they are bad, but I only played the original Walking Dead and just recently Tales From the Borderlands and that's enough for me.
I just figured the formula would have bored most players by now.
I must be in the minority, but I thought from a gameplay perspective, each Mass Effect was superior to it's predecessor.
I don't care at all that they added ammo, or that the game got more action oriented, it was more fun to play that the slow and clunky original game.
In all honesty it probably won't be numbered as Destiny 2, it'll probably be "Destiny: Darkness Rises" or some kind of subtitle like that.
I am still amazed at the amount of positive comments I'm seeing after these betas. I really expected people to just be ripping this game to shreds.

But I've played other betas and usually very little changes between them and the retail release.
There are so many things that would need to change with this game just to make it average that I can't list all of them.

Destiny's beta was nowhere near half of the game. C'mon now, be fair.

Destiny gave us 1 planet out of 4.
The level cap was what, like 7 or 8? Out of 30. And only 1 of the subclasses.
There was maybe 3 or 4 story missions, and 1 strike mission out of the 6 or 7 that the game launched with.
Plus 1 multiplayer mode with only 2 maps.
