You're basically comparing loaning a game disc to a friend for a couple weeks so that he can play a game on his own console at his leisure, to letting him play the game at your house for a couple hours.
It's not exactly the same thing.
Nobody is knocking shareplay, it's a super cool feature. It's just a totally DIFFERENT feature than what this article is talking about.
But correct me if I'm wrong, they are all just guys with regular guns, right?
Other than their uniforms or whatever, is there any appreciable difference between how they fight and the weapons they use?
If there is, then that's great, but from what I'm reading in reviews, they are all basically the same.
Maybe just a crazy thought here, but if you aren't going to read the articles from certain sites, maybe you shouldn't comment on them either.
Foxtrot, I was agreeing with you completely until you said "obviously this is better than Destiny".
No it obviously isn't.
Destiny is a WAY better game than this.
Fair enough.
Obviously there is more to the game beyond the beta. More missions, bigger map, etc...
What I meant was the actual enemies and the combat itself.
It just felt like it was ALL the same. Guys with bats, guys with shields AND bats, guys with guns, and a couple guys with flamethrowers. Then you get to the boss and he's just another guy with a gun or a flamethrower, only he can kill you with one or two shots and it takes almost all of your ammo to kill him....
But who's fault is it that the game is "realistic" and limited on what it can do with the bosses?
I mean, at some point in development, I'd like to think at least one guy raised his hand and said something like: "Hey guys, you think maybe we need to do something different? Every enemy and boss are all practically identical to each other."
I've been saying this since the beta. I was bored to tears just with the few hours I sp...
Honest question here...
What reason is there to start a second character in this game? (Other than just to play and level with somebody new of course.)
I mean, unless I missed something from the betas, there are no character classes, and all your perks and skills can be reassigned at any time, right?
So every character is essentially identical, save for their gear, correct?
Gotta disagree with you.
I played in both Betas and felt like I'd seen everything there was to see.
It was all the same and all boring. I think 6.5 is too generous for this game.
What a terrible load of crap.
People like the author of this article are ruining society.
Yeah I have to disagree with you.
Destiny is superior in every possible way.
I don't get the love for this game.
Just for the record, X1 games going to PC makes no difference to me. I don't want to game on PC, and I'm damn sure not alone in that attitude.
If all PS4 games were on PC as well, giving me the option to ONLY have a PC and have access to ALL games, I would still own a PS4 and an XB1.
Because I simply do NOT want to game on PC.
To a PC guy, there is no reason to get an X1. I get that.
He still has a reason to get...
Yeah 15 bucks for a tutorial and one mission.
I hope nobody buys into this crap.
I love how all of you people seem to think you know how all of this stuff works behind the scenes.
How many games has Naughty Dog proposed that never got made?
Do you think the only ideas that Naughty Dog have had in the past 10 years were Uncharted and TLOU?
They never thought of anything else at all or wanted to make something different?
My point is, probably every studio has a huge list of cancelled projects or ideas that ...
Lipton, well said.
Thank you.
You should be running for public office.
You don't care what people spend their money on but you call them idiots for spending it on this game.
Depends a lot on how you look at it.
If I want to play a new game at release I download it in advance and I play it EXACTLY at midnight.
If I want to do the same with a disc game I first have to factor in the 30 minute drive home from Gamestop (yes that is the closest one to me), before I can even think about install time.
So yeah, Digital is way faster for me. Plus I never have to get up to go grab a disc. I just click through my library. ...
I'm not saying it's a good game, I hated the beta and won't ever play the full release.
I just meant calling it a "flop" is idiotic.
And I love most Ubisoft games, I'm sick of hearing everyone bitch about them.
It's just like Activision and CoD. They make games that sell a lot so it's "cool" to do the Hipster thing and hate them.
Well screw that, I'll play games that are fun to...
I'm sure it will "flop" to the tune of about 5 million copies sold.
Give it a rest with the Ubisoft hate.
So the gameplay itself, the gun combat, the thing you do the most in the game, is good, but "that doesn't mean much".
