Nintendo is easy to make fun of because they are the odd ball out of the three consoles. They don't fit the norms and don't attempt to directly compete with the other two.
I passed on the Wii U because I hated the Wii so much it left a bad taste in my mouth. Wii U is the only Nintendo console I haven't owned.

Unless the game makes it clear that you get some kind of reward for finding them all, or you get some XP when you find one or whatever.

I think the game looks absolutely spectacular. And I'm totally going to get it.
I just do not see one single thing different in those images. But I rarely could in the old 900p vs 1080p comparisons that everyone was up in arms about 2 years ago either.

To all the people saying "it won't get 3rd party support" or "The 3rd party games will look and run crappy", ask yourself this.
Even if the the 3d party games looked exactly like the PS4 or Xbox 1 version, would you buy them on Switch? I'm guessing not. That argument is only relevant to people that ONLY own a Switch.
