Yeah, download speeds on PSN were terrible with the PS3. I could download equal sized files from Xbox Live in literally 1/5 the time. It was an insane difference.
However, I downloaded something from PSN with my PS4 on Saturday, and I will be the first to admit that it was VERY much improved.
I didn't time it so I can't give you any exact numbers, but I was pleasantly surprised and impressed.

This is a non-issue. Even if there were TENS OF THOUSANDS of consoles effected, most would never know about it because they don't stand their console vertically.
I have never understood the whole "vertical" thing ever since the PS2 started that back in the day. Entertainment centers have horizontal shelves. I just don't get the point of standing a console up on it's side.

Ryse is the best looking game announced for either console so far. (From a graphical standpoint only, don't tell me how crappy the gameplay looks, that isn't what we are talking about.)
Would it look better in 1080p? Certainly.
But even if they downgraded it to 600p, it would still clearly look better than anything from this current generation.

A removable battery pack will forever be a plus to me, not a minus.
Like strange days said... easy to replace if the battery fails, for one.
My other thing is that if it gets low I can just swap it on the fly instead of tethering myself to something to charge up.
