I agree with you in a way. Game reactor seems to criticize motorstorm for being monotonous, and states that hot pursuit is much better. now that statement is completely invalid in my opinion. Why? well because I played hot pursuit and I found it to be a great game..but the novelty wore off really quick. Motorstorm seems to be of equal experience (although I probably would play it for a long time). I'm so tired of these critics using double standards, it makes the whole industry seem immat...

I'm pretty sure it's not as much dumbing the game down that is upsetting reviewers so much as it is the repetitive environments (most of the game is in Kirkwall) and the apparent lack of focus on story, which was IMO the biggest reason to buy DA1.
