If they do I hope they put it through preview first. Iron out the mechanics before launching it. I still dont think Hello Games deserve the criticism, I blame Sony.

Nah, I don't like to believe in publishers and their false promises. No Man Sky should have been released earlier on PC and in a more humble manner. This game should have NEVER received any criticism for what it was compared to the hype Sony gave for it.

No doubt all Microsoft exclusives will be forward compatible but can't say the same for major publishers, also I doubt they'll hit 4k/60fps ...Microsoft only claimed native 4k gaming.

I've used the Xbox one controller exclusively that I had complaints about it recently, until I held a PS4 remote with it's slippery pads.

True, it's basically another PS4. It was a slight upgrade from the same architecture. This isn't what Sony wants to do so they're playing catch up to Microsoft with this whole iterative approach. If anything for now it only seems Microsoft can pull this off with new chips.
Won't even meet the hype Sony gave it, too bad. But should be a very solid game.

Understand I stated nothing bad about the game, but it's clearly obvious Sony hyped NMS more than it needed. Understand without Sony NMS would have been your usual indie game and would have released earlier on PC and potentially on Xbox preview program.

I'd say it's simple, new software today is allowing these iterations to happen. Without Microsoft's UWP I doubt they'll be putting effort behind another console. Since we're speculating I think Sony in terms of these new iterations is behind Microsoft and it's Microsoft who has been dictating their decisions. Probably the original Xbox One being gimped was done on purpose.
Lucky bastard whoever waited til' now to purchase an Xbox One.

No one is claiming Playstation doesn't sell, fact is console profit margins doesn't match the sell numbers. In this environment with that old busniess model they won't last long sorry. At least Nintendo and Microsoft has wiggle room to adapt where Sony is stuck with the the idea that they can still achieve the PS2 era. They and their fanboys have to realize they got lucky until 360 came in and fractured that 3rd party support.
$30 on preview i will buy.
