Blah blah ...Playerunknown's Battlegrounds
DX-12
@Thatguy
You'll still have a great experience only difference now is that the pace for hardware design has increased. Meaning more capacity for developers to express themselves, better games and potentially new genre experiences. So you're not losing anything with this better approach, it's very healthy for the industry.
EDIT: Also a nice addition would be if Microsoft just sell the base console with power cord only since I can still use my previous pe...
Because people want full access to a game and to have enough time to check it's features and gameplay. Instead I would rather have all games have a confined demo months before hand so gamers could at least try the game and can be used as a cheap promotion instead of limited cgi trailer.
They overdelivered and I hope other publishers do the same thing
Well it's a premium product so they're not trying to achieve high-volume sells. This will make very powerful consoles cheaper in the coming years giving artists more capacity to express themselves. Only good things will come of this best time for anyone in the industry imo.
I wonder if Scorpio players will get a benefit in multiplayer with better frame rates against original Xbox One
@naruga
I still see no comeback, if anything might be a last dying gasp of JRPGs. The quirky anime JRPG era was only unique in its own time. Western RPGs are out-rightly dominating not only in terms of technical prowess but financially with well established franchise that will out last JRPGs. Also JRPGs are designing their games to appease western audience not Japanese anymore. So if anything this is just hopeful thinking than it is an actual catch up.
corporate overlords destroying physical media
Confirmed our corporate overlords are destroying physical media and all for the best.
These type of stuff is getting old, we just want great narrative and gameplay.
all they need to do now is provide downloading, also like netflix? ...no
Watch out! This is Microsoft's next big franchise no doubt. Potentially will utilize the cloud and innovate new and bigger genre of games, the industry is desperate for it and only Microsoft will deliver.
Hope it doesn't gimp the gameplay
^
Wow, anyone who wants to get straight into game development can just use their Xbox One. That's huge !!
Are you literally asking Microsoft a question from N4g?
FINALLY a reasonable and non-fangirl argument.
It's basically gaming on a budget, I could be in and out beating 3 games for the month for achievements and all I had was an option to pay $10? If you're complaingin about this your a fanboy. There is no argument against this feature.
ikr, I went back on my PC and played another 3hrs of Battlegrounds
