Where is Elite? Where is Minecraft? At least they have Job Simulator and some good party games.
Until the heavy hitters arrive, there won't be much appeal.
Proving once again that the masses are knuckleheads.
The Vive controllers *suck* compared to the Touch controllers. Anyone who has tries a Touch agrees.
Since you can have multiple Oculus sensors, theres not much of a serious difference between the two setups, except for the controllers.
Im here to shoot down your hopes, folks.
Both these games dont use the SPUs at all -- thats why they work.
It's obvious that the Scorpio will get closer to 4k native than the PS4 Pro, but getting all the way just wont happen, except on certain genres, like arcade games, spaceflight, and racers, that don't involve much overdraw or lots of geometry and fancy shading (except on cockpits/dash)
That said, they do appear to only be talking about 1st party titles.
Newsflash: Not all devs are bright, when it comes to predicting the future of the games industry.
This one? Case in point.
House stated that Sony is focusing on digital content, because that's where PS4 consumers like their video. The implication is then, that Xbox, and Xbox users, is/are "unfocused" by having both 4K streaming and 4K physical media.
PS gamers, apparently, don't care about the 20% of the time their PS4 is playing physical media from Redbox, because 80% of the time, they are watching Netflix, and getting their $10 worth on old shows (which don't support 4K...
I've actually stopped buying PS4 multiplats altogether, as Xbox One games will be better on Scorpio. The Xbox One S already bests the XOne, and the PS4, in terms of stable framerates.
This just in: large team of AAA game dev vets destroy small team of indie newbs.... News at 11?
Is this really a surprise? Elite is hella better, as well. I find it hard to believe that anyone truly believed it would be otherwise. The world just doesn't work that way -- that's like expecting a team of NFL rookies to win the superbowl.
Wait, wait.
So SEGA PlayStation (DreamStation?) is a possibility someday?
Heck, yeah!
...especially when choosing what games to put up on PS Plus each month.

Sorry I couldn't resist. Come on, you laughed.
Looks like MS cannibalized Xbox One S sales with their Scorpio announcement... oh wait.
Lol @ the media who thought that.
As long as Nintendo provides 8 GB of RAM on the NX, 3rd parties will consider porting experiences to it, even if it only has the GPU power of the X360/PS3, and even then only when it's docked (mobile/battery-powered GPUs can only sustain that level for a few minutes).
Nintendo games don't need more horsepower than the X360 had, really -- they just need to make it easy for 3rd party publishers to port stuff, and they can accomplish that with a decent RAM pool. That&...
There's no difference between MS having a XBO-S SKU and the Scorpio, vs Sony having a PS4 (probably shrinking next year to a "PS4 Slim") and PS4 Neo.
Why do these articles continue to yammer on about MS? Because their slim model comes out earlier?
Having a low-end and a high-end SKU makes perfect sense. If it didn't nVidia would not produce x50, x60, and x70 cards at all for gamers -- it'd be the x80 model, or the highway. These a...
I'm excited for my Scorpio. Why wouldn't this guy be?
Um, is that a con to the cross-buy service? No, I don't think so.
If I was buying games today, I think I'd prefer to be buying them for my future Scorpio, over the PS4 Neo, which I won't be buying.
I wouldn't could the XBox One out just yet. It's not so different from the PS4 that people won't continue to choose it, knowing that the games they buy are going to work great on their Scorpio.
He said "RPG" developers, guys.
ND makes action adventure games.
I would argue that some smaller devs, like Obsidian, makes better RPGs than the ones he listed, though. And CDPR, frankly, is better than the ones he listed as well, and he works there!
Skyrim, while awesome to look at and explore, is not the most stellar game, per se. Diablo is too derivative, too unoriginal (it's Rogue/Nethack/Moria -- all of which were d...
Sure, just not VR on the same level as a PC, Scorpio, or Neo.
Pretty sure you get what you pay for, in this regard.
Wow. This author is crazy ignorant. The XBox One S is nothing more than the current, cheaper for MS to make, XBox One model. It's necessary for MS to make money, while dropping the price. Also, not everyone will buy a Scorpio, plain and simple, and it doesn't make sense for MS to sell old model XBox Ones until Scorpio comes out anyway. The S is simply the XBox One, now smaller and with 4K
Did Sony keep maning the original; PS2 after the slim came out? Nope. H...
Um... no.
Until it has a full game experience, like Elite or Minecraft, it's not even in the running. The hardware is great, I'm sure, but demos and indie budget titles only go so far.
