I must say I did get kind of bored of AC:Reveletions because the gameplay was pretty much the same since AC2 with added elements here and there.
Hopefully we see something NEW in AC3
No definitely not.
Gameplay gameplay gameplay. Look at games like Just Cause 2 - absolute average graphics but oh my god that game is so fun gameplay wise.
Do graphics enhance the gameplay? Not anymore. The graphics on todays consoles are good enough to the point where a enhanced graphical version of the game wouldn't make any difference.
Take The Witcher 2 for example. Having got the PC version and the 360 version - The PC version ...
UC2 won GOY because of the GAMEPLAY. If it had a boring story and absolutely boring gameplay, it would not have won GOTY.
Don't know why some people are excited about live 13. When has an EA basketball game ever been a sim? Never
I think the trend will continue. NBA fans will continue to buy 2k games, while casual basketball fans will continue to buy Live
The problem with MS fans is they won't budge no matter how awful the system is and how superior the PS3 is.
Pretty loyal, but also pretty stupid :P
And thats the difference
Sony focus on their core gamers, where as Microsoft focus on the casuals.
I can see why Microsoft do it though. It's been raking in the profits big time. Good for them, but not core gamers.
Where are the core games for 360? I mean seriously, the 360 has nearly become as irrelevent as the PC platform. The 360 started off so well this generation and just disappeared from there.
Will this be ...
Now thats more like it Nintendo. A PROPER controller with BOTH analog sticks in the natural/primary positions.
Layout is natural, but will it fit in your hands as good as the 360 controller?
If so, we may have a new ergonomic king.
May have to make a smaller version for the children, since that is the main audience of Nintendos
Not sure why people are surprised.
There hasen't been a difficult game now for couple generations
Catering for the casuals
If anything LA Noire was the disappointment
It's not DEAD! Wrong term to use
It's more - irrelevant
Back in say 1998 - 2000 The PC had a huge amount of exclusives
Now - The majority can already be played on either PS3 or 360.
I have pretty much only used my Gaming PC for only The Witcher 2 and Diablo 3, thats it. The Witcher 2 is now mulitplatform (at the time I bought it, it wasen't).
So it is not DEAD, but it's more irreleva...
Cage be PROUD
You delivered a game that was different to the majority of stuff that was out there.
It was refreshing, interesting characters, you connect to them (or some of them), it had an interesting story and just the way the game was put together was great.
Just - Something refreshing.
Kudos to you!
I haven't got the game yet, but can't you skip the cutscenes?
If you are not in it for the story or second playthrough, then just skip them (if thats possible)
Just read few more posts - I guess they can't be skipped. LOL big fail. Such an easy thing to implement.
irishyort - "Graphics do not make a game! "
You are right about that, but screen size makes a difference and this type of game should not be played on a screen so small. Many core games should not be played on a screen so small. It's like watching a movie on a vita instead of a nice big LCD - it's just not the same.
If someone pirates a game, it doesn't automatically mean a lost sale. A LOT of people wouldn't have bought the game/movie to begin with if they couldn't pirate it, therefore no loss of sale or $$.
Of course it's the other way around to, a person probably would of bought it if they couldn't pirate it, but unless you can prove how many people would have bought it and how many would not of, we won't know how much of a impact piracy has on lost sales.
...
Another FPS
booooorrring
Just Cause 2 was sooooo much fun.
They focused on gameplay rather then graphics. GTA IV take note.
Gameplay > Graphics and this game just proves this.
This is actually true.
IF it focused more on casuals, it would be selling A LOT more. Handhelds are more for casual gamers then core gamers afterall.
"And, who wants to buy a new system so they can play the exact same (I'm not talking franchises; I mean literally the same) games that will be out for PS3, 360, and PC (even if they may look better on WiiU)?"
Definitely not me and thats the thing, even if the Wii:U has the SAME game but better graphics, it's still the SAME game and SAME experience.
So a big no from me.
The controller is already turning me off the syste...
Thats a good point, but the majority of games out there are FPS, TPS and the 360 controller is the better controller for these type of games, including racing games as well.
THe 360 controller shines for FPS,TPS and racers, whereas the DS3 isn't as good as the 360 controller for FPS,TPS and racers, but STILL good, while also being better for platformers and fighers.
I prefer the 360 controller for the simple fact that I don't play many 2D platform...
Single Player with lag - yeah brilliant....
