Deus Ex HR - yes, but the others no, especially not a game like Killzone 3 - Why? The KZ games were NEVER about story, it means very little to that series.

The only people who were satisfied were casual ME players - who just jumped in for the gameplay, here and now, but didn't care about the game overall.

I finished Skyrim 6 months ago. Even though I still remember everything about the game, if I stepped in now to play this DLC, the immersion would not be there, due to the long break.
The best way to experience DLC like this, after a long break, is to play the whole game again, so you can get that immersion back.
Will wait until the GOTY edition (with the other multiple DLCS by then) and play Skyrim again completey.

The whole 'Your actions impact the ending' is non existent.
Theres no 'happy' ending. Of course I don't want 100% happy, but a GOOD ending with reapers destroyed, Shepard alive, rejoicing somewhat BUT with same casualties.
Then you could of had a sadder ending with more causalities or whatever, depending on the decisions you made.
But theres none of that - a poor ending...

PC gaming, well, that platform has been irrelevant for many years now. The only games I've played on PC are The Witcher 2 (at the time exclusive) and Diablo 3. Thats it.
Unfortunately the casual crowd out number the core crowd, with the use of iPhones etc, I feel that the next generation of people, there will be less and less core gamers.

Trophies definitely.
An XBL Gamerscore doesn't mean much. If someone has a score of 44,560, it doesn't mean they have 'fully achieved' around 40 games, it could only be 2 and they have just played lots of games and not gotten all the achievements.
Trophies on the other hand you can easily tell by simply how many platinum trophies they have.
Also personally, seeing platinum trophies is more rewarding then seeing 1000G/100...
Don't get me wrong MGS4 was a good game, and had a nice story, but there was hardly much gameplay. Like 4 hours worth, the rest was cutscenes.
Now I have no problem with the amount or length of cutscenes, but increase the amount of gameplay. I felt like I was watching a movie most of the time, with taking control only here and there.
