TLOU is one of the best games ever made and how can there not be a sequel. Will it be as successful, if they go with different characters and different story in the same world? Everyone has grown so attached and loved Joel/Ellie.
I still want a sequel - if they can maintain the amazing quality of the gameplay, story, characters - Bring it on!
The Exec is right, it's the games that matter. Even if graphically the games are less quality on multiplatform games, it is still the same exact game.
What matters is the quality games that set it apart and can't be found on other systems, BUT the problem is this isn't Microsofts strong point, as Sony are superior in this area also.
Consistency and excellence across different categories.
Gameplay, Story, Characters, Environments.
Each one of those elements are superb and mesh so well together and thats basically what makes The Last Of Us so amazing.
During the play through, I paused the game about 4 times because I was so overwhelmed at how great it was, which delivered such an awesome adventure/experience.
On PC it requires 8GB RAM, but you have to remember consoles always have better optimization, much better, and also less taken by the OS etc, therefore it needs less stronger requirements.
As far as PS4 running Planetside 2 maxed, doubt it. Very efficient optimization can only do so much, it still won't be able to bridge the gap between the PS4s specs and the hardware requirements needed when efficiently optimized, to run the game on max.
I assume the reviewer is just looking for hits?
If not I feel sorry for him, because he has poor taste in games and he should just quit his job if he can't give one of the best games ever made the score it deserves.

And why would they want it 1000 times more powerful. All we would get is the same core gameplay we see today. The only difference is better graphics.
Or do they want it to be 1000x more powerful since that would give them a lot of a buffer for sloppy coding and save $$$ on optimisation? LOL

Though Half Life 2 and Portal 2 are awesome games, Naughty Dog has eclipsed them with Uncharted franchise and their latest game, The Last Of Us, which has pushed ND into the stratosphere and beyond.
NG has it in spades. Consistency and high quality, especially The Last Of Us which is one of the best games ever made.

I found the game to be mighty awesome, especially for $20. I loved the whole RPG style gameplay and survival, even if the game got pretty easy it was still damn fun to play.

I honestly think the people remaining are better off as they are, even if there are still infected, rather then the POSSIBILITY of a cure which would start a war for different gangs trying to take control of it etc.
I don't blame Joel what so ever in not giving up Ellie for a potential cure, considering how close he got to her and already losing a daughter, wouldn't want to go through something like that again.

Great score but I am amazed this guy only just now bought a PS3. Even though he just experienced the best exclusive on PS3, he needs to check out the many many other exclusives that are still awesome.
I've played both 60fps shooters (on PC) and 30fps on 360 and to be really honest, the difference isn't that big. It really is just PC fanboy talk or COD fanboy talk.
Maybe I am one of those fortunate people who isn't sensitive to 30fps, but when I play both the difference isn't big at all.
Is there a difference? Yes, but its minimal, especially when you are focused on the game.

It's a shame really that there is really only 2 core gaming platforms left. PC becoming irrelevent since 2000, since all its games can already be played on the consoles, making it irrelevent.

Hopefully core gaming doesn't die anytime soon. Lets hope the XBOX doesn't go full on down the casual route, otherwise there will only be PS4 for core gamers.
