I don't think you got me correctly.
You have your gripes with PS3, and I have my issues with 360. Customer dissatisfaction is always a good starting point for product improvement.
But what's MGS4 being too linear to do with technical capabilities of PS3 to draw polygons?
What's GT being the number one racing simulator game even praised by professional racers, but being a worse simulator game in your opinion than Forza 2 got to do with PS3's capability to draw polygo...
If you do really own a PS3, you don't seem to want to enjoy it too much. If not, I don't think you would have said the comments you did - MGS4 being too linear and GT5P is a demo scam, all this in a thread about polygons. Well done!
lol! Great comment Noobz, u made me laugh.
You're the man!
EDIT : without the game!
2nd EDIT : I got a disagree, so I'm gonna try again - how about "without the brains!"
<Insert generic 360 shooters here> is overrated and hyped and is given scores that are too high due to M$ bribes, fear and M$/360 sympathizers.
<Insert generic 360 shooters here> has average graphics, power of Green's AI, piss poor animations and 5th generation gameplay mechanics. Story seems kind of corny too(getting high ranks due to the money M$ put into it, the gameplay itself would have scored average with any other exclusive AAA).
Thank you
Are the MGS4 cutscenes too long? Hmm.. that brings to mind another question. Are Kotaku idiots?
Aggressive investment in the media?
Though not a developer, I think it's not so much how much they are using, but how effectively they are utilizing it (for e.g performing redundant tasks).
Well, anyhow, hope they come up with a great game. The graphics do look promising this far!
While I did not click disagree on you, I have to say that I disagree. Some random guy once said that in his opinion MGS4 looks no better or in some cases worse than Gears, COD4 and Bioshock.
So no matter if you compare exclusives or multi-plat, fanboys of each system will still be dissing the other systems' games.
Wow! I didn't even have to read your comment. I just....agree!
How can I disagree with common sense?
And may I add, Bravo!
way to go, you joke! Show them that 360 is the way to go man. Knock into them some common sense, bring them the truth. Developers will always favor 360 because its way easier to program, even easier than on PS2. That's why even though it's a newer platform, ppl still flock to it.
MGS4 was just a meh game, nothing special. Even though it got itself loads of 10/10 scores, its really crap.
And why? The only reason is because you think so. Your opinion matters man, I mea...
If at first you don't win, try again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again.
Then, try again.
Yeah i agree, with Silogon that is. Sony needs to get its roots back. Look to the PS2, and what brought its massive success.
Give me my fricking RPGs! I seem to have been waiting forever..
Ok Genki, we get your self-righteous points. Gaming journalism is rife with all kinds of sh*t. And we get to eat it, yummy!
Anyway, yeah Kojima may have gotten himself a free pass from some sites. But is this article about Kojima getting a free pass, or is it about some poor excuse for giving a different score from popular opinion?
You can say to each his own, but please run along and play the game first. Then, judge if Kojima is getting a free pass this time.
The game sounds interesting, the preview tries too hard to sound objective
It will be good if they give us some sort of trial period (or for that matter, a trial episode) to test it out.
I would have to wait for Gamespot's review before deciding
Its not such a great idea when the whole family starts invading your console when you wanna spend some quality time with mgs4 or ffxiii. Anyway, I'd rather they do something with pseye, which is wasted potential just sitting there
No disrepect, but I'd group the term "Independant review site" in the same category as striking lottery - wishful thinking
Well timmy, if you put it that way, then I'm proud and glad to say that my other 2 consoles have a lifetime warranty against this particular problem known as RROD
I think we are getting a bit of zen here.
You can't look at the whole without looking at the one (i feel enlightened by myself).
These are the basic building blocks of gameplay.
And good games do not make good hardware. Sorry to bring this into the discussion, but no matter what Gears or Mass Effect did, 360 still remained an unstable piece of hardware.
But with good hardware, that adds as another basic building block to the overall equation in games creation. ...
