Oh yes, NOLFs are pretty difficult to set up properly so that they have very little compatibility problems so I would love remakes/new ones but AFAIK, No One Lives Forever was also on Playstation 2 so it doesnt fit to the theme of "PC only FPS games" of this article.
Also NOLF has been in a licensing shitstorm for years now so its very unclear who owns the IP.
I think pacman and kirby were kinda ok (others were pretty far fetched) but Crash...

Besides, that might be halfway correct in the first Crash game but as far as I remember all enemies in Crash 2 were cortex's cyborg minions and in third they were all those generic clones in different outfits so it doesnt really make Crash "...
I do think that the succes of next gen (so far) has been due to hype and too lenghty 7th gen but PS4s suprerioty over Xbone is not hype.
Its also parrents fault that Activision is >>>taking advantage<<< of this stupidity and starts making plastic call of duty themed toys for kids ?

Quite honestly, I dont care if they are ever gonna make new gales for these two or not because they can never recover the downhill IMO (well maybe crash could have a quick "throwback digital game" but spyro would require more thought) but I would love to see complete remakes of the original trilogies with true-to-the-originals gameplay.
If you are a fan I still suggest playing some of the crash/spyro games that actually were decent like Wrath of Cortex and Twinsanit...
I do think that gamers havent become more competitive, its just that there are more gamers and that means there are much more d-bags playing online.
But since the author is talking from his XBL experience it might be a bit different thing... competitive online games were on PCs before they became mainstream on consoles.
I do think that 8th gen consoles have been selling this well (both in general) because of the overhype which was caused by a bit too long 7th gen.
To me PS1 controller is the most silent one but only because the buttons are so worn/used that they dont make a sound anymore.
I can kinda agree with the article that benefits of not region locking are very mininal but still, so are the downsides.
For old consoles this is a huge problem (atleast now) though, maybe it will also be the case for WiiU in the future too ? It would be far easier to find a game from multiple regions than from your own region.
No ? (directed towards the PS1 part) PS1 was literally the "3D bomb" with much weaker console before PS1 strugling to make 3D games that made sense/were fun (with few exceptions), PS1 provided everything that was needed to make enjoyable 3D games.
I cant recall how many PS1 games I have but for the sake of the comparision lets say, 14.
Only 2 out of those 14 games are 2D which are Megaman X5 and Heart of Darkness (and even then HoD uses beautifully ...
Not only that but people always tend to forget that any type of cloud gaming tends to add extra input latency (which is what Im always the most concerned about. It was not fun to play BF3 with 200ms input lag on PS3) and this wont be an exception.

And how is this a system crushing feature ? Invite your friends lazy ass over at your place and pass the controller.
I know that many people have friends at PSN that live outside of their region or are simply just "internet friends" but still, hardly a competition crushing feature.

For me it has to be PSX/PS1 controler.
Some might say that they are pretty much all the same but to me the original dualshock has been the most durable and feels much more solid than the later versions. I have gone through like 5-7 DS2's and my PS3 controler has some minor cracks and feels overall more cheap. Havent used DS4 and XB controlers were okay but never into my taste.
I'll give honorable mention to Gamecube controler.
Well yeah, if I want to maintain a good FPS but dont want to lower graphics too much I usually go with 1600x900 resolution instead of 1080p, gives a nice +20 FPS increase usually and still looks fairly good.

I guess I can understand remaking games that just came out (as TLOU R basicly isnt even a remaster, its just another version of the game that came a bit later) and games that were either forgoten or missed by many (due to bad timing).

I dont see how this is a bug/glitch because its obviously draw distance related thing and I have seen these magicaly appearing/disapearing objects even in PC games (Far Cry 3 comes to mind first).
We will probably never get rid of these things and pretty much every game does this but most just manage to mask them very well.
If this happens only in the PS4 version it either means that...
