The biggest thing that bothers me about this, is that many have described the series as sort of a refuge from easy and non stimulative modern games. The gamers formed that refuge, so why on earth would they (the developers) also need to bend to the same form that these gamers have tried to escape?
Miyazaki has ever since Demons Souls stated that they dont make difficult games for the sake of it either way, they spice up the games with some added challenge. Demons, Dark 1 and ...
Same, mostly because Im usually very hesistant to buying digital games. I would love to have smaller titles get a physical release with a nice price or with some nice collectibles.
I also understand that some might not have the time and patience, but that should directly tell you that they probably should not play the games.
These games are very much game mechanics based challenges. Even if these "easy moders" got their mode with, for example increased health and defense stats, they would still need to learn the game mechanics from which point on they would be capable of finishing the game in the "normal" difficulty. Either that or t...
I would love to play A Crack In Time to the end, but a copy I found (between other game case from a flea market, 1€) either seems not to work or my machine is just rejecting it completely for some reason. Its not really scratched, but whenever I try to progress from the second solar system to the third (or after doing the last mission there), pausing the game takes like 2 minutes, loading any previous area/map takes like 30 minutes if it doesnt freeze, music stops playing and the cutscene bar...
Dark Souls 3 is getting DLC, so you might as well wait for that so you can have a nice long marathon with no other games coming out around the time you finaly decide to get Dark Souls 3.
I on the other hand, cannot function at this point without Dark Souls 3. I simply need it in my life....
European release date? I forgot that too. I checked a few online retailers and they seem to have marked 20 & 22nd as the release date.
Just better for me. I have roughly a week time to play Dark Souls 3, then go play Ratchet, and then proceed with more Dark Souls 3.
Oh god, I didnt realize its coming out at the same date as Dark Souls 3...
Still kind of have to preorder since I remember they had Bouncer bonus weapon for preorders.
He's a white man though, so I doubt it.
Dont discount The Last Guardian just yet ;)
Team Icos track record is short, but amazing, and their games sort of tap into that same feeling of exploration, interpretation of the story, and uncovering of the unknown that the Souls games do.
@trywizardo
Its not shit but... Ehh
Its playable, but you can definitively tell its different from the rest of their Soulsborne games. Imo its different in a bad way and one of the bigger aspects about the games (levels that connect, or feel like they are locations in the world instead of being levels stitched together) is absent from the main game in DaS2. DLCs did a good job with the world but the mechanical differences and less impressive aesthetics still ...
Not exactly a game server but some months ago I discovered that the original websites for this old PS1 game were still online (from a developer that no longer exists as far as I know), must be another case of a "forgotten/ghost server"
The game is Kingsleys Adventures but I dont remember the URL currently.
Really makes me want to know where that server is physically located. It really must be some forgotten POS server that has been buried behind all...
"X is not a good game, and not for the reasons you might think"
Never clicking on any garbage that has a preview like this.
How is the rumor about PS4K still this persistent? It wont be 4K (gaming) capable, it wont enable 4K gaming on VR or probably even make VR experience better, if there even is going to be a new model.
A 4K capable GPU would become really costly and I cant see them making a whole new VR enhancing console revision because the state of VR is still uncertain. PS VR sure has been selling good but its not like they started designing a mew model a week ago...
The bigger oddity to me though, is that they (or From Software) released the game earlier in japan even though the game had day 1 patch? Why wouldnt they have delayed the release to include that patch with the game?
I have read some things on reddit on this matter but still... sounds a little rushed.
From Software is not technologically that capable so considering that they did a good job. The engine is sufficient and their biggest graphical boost come from the artistical talent.
At least its not as bad as Dark Souls...
Its great.
Remasters of classics or games that would greatly benefit from a little face lift are not looked down upon from what I have seen.
Most complain because some of the games are not classics and are more like rushed ports of more recent games on the new consoles.
I'll give you a full 5/7 for this great meme.
I also heard they would need to update the HDMI ports to support UHD/4K at 30hz.
If there is going to be an upgraded model, These are the most likely changes, though I still wonder how are they going to regulate the developers with how much the games are allowed to take disc space, so that they are not going to start using higher capacity discs that older models cant read.
FOV slider, fk yeah. I play on pc monitor so I sit quite close to the screen. Ability to change FOV will greatly impact my experience.
The only 2 games that I can think on top of my head that have some FOV adjustments, are Zombi and Warframe.
