Going to be a little bit more skeptical about the game/these news. The amount of time they have spent developing this game, and the whole fallout (or separation) with Sony, it kinda sounds that not all is well. I even remember them tweeting out about a year ago that they were done with the crunch development (usually situated at the near end of game development to meet deadlines and such) https://mobile.t...

Sounds great, and it only makes sense. Other games allow you to connect online and see live scoreboards or phantoms of other players in races (non-live, but its still something that you transfered through the network)

In No Mans Sky its mostly just information to the Atlas (think of something like the Scoreboards but which is full of information) and an incredibly slim chance of meeting another player.

There would barely be any reasons to lock Atlas and o...

Never been much into Sega stuff (mostly because I have never even seen any Sega console being played IRL. Saw one Saturn in a cabinet, but thats it), but if they update the controllers on this thing, it would probably be a good purchase.

I saw the previous version in one of the online retailers I visit, and the product reviews complained that the "wireless" controllers worked like a TV remote, requiring a direct line of sight to the console.

A s...

I dont think that the size is the main selling point. By that logic nobody who has a PS1, 2 or 3 should buy a miniature PS1 because they can just buy the games and play them. Besides, didnt NES also get a revision which was much smaller than the original ? Top loader.

What people are excited about the mini NES, is the HDMI output which gives you a much cleaner image quality than coaxial/RCA on the original NES/PS1, and the fact that the machine comes preloaded with classic ...

New Metro would be tasty.

If they cant figure out how to make a proper and entertaining open world game, stick to larger maps that have much options for free roaming, but are still only mere levels or chapters.

Was a little disapointed with Mirrors Edge Catalyst's open world, even more with the "activity" they provided. If you cant make it work nicely and make the world immersive enough, dont try to force it.

I think he was refering to DaS2 as bad port more because of the controls.

I havent played DaS2 on PC but I think I heard it had some weird mouse controls, like one mouse click -> light attack, 2 clicks (on the same button) -> heavy attack.

With a controller it was apparently pretty good though.

@Death

Yes, they literally made another hardware revision (or more like completely new hardware that is compatible with PS3 games but houses equivalent of 8 PS3s on one chip) to run and stream PS3 games for Gakai's streaming (PSNow)

I think this was even the original article I saw here at N4G reporting about it for the first time

And like, sexy characters dont equal arousal. I would rather have attractive looking characters than standard "meh" looking ones.

Maybe ever twice have I ever been like "daym, look at dat ass" or something, otherwise its all just general eyecandy.

Wait... there is/was alpha going on PS4? I got alpha invite, but it was for Origin and Im pretty sure my PC cant run the alpha, so I didnt even bother downloading it.

Thats pretty much bound to happen, and I think Nintendo is full aware of that. Nintendo probably just thought "people download old retro games either way, might as well cash in on the retro and make a novelty item"

And I give them respect for that. Im digging stuff like this, especially when its coming from legit publishers.

^Gamecube games are around 1gb each, so they would more than likely want to invest into a HDD big enough to house all the games, emulation software and savestates without conflict. Next they would need to invest into hardware that could be the size of a Gamecube or smaller, that is capable of emulating GC software. Lastly they would need to develope such software that could run the games without glitches or hickups. Unless they flat out recycle Wii hardware and slightly modify it, but I would...

Thought about that too. Still, it depends how much power its going to require. Both of our TVs have like, 500 or 600mA output, and thats a bit low.

I guess most mobile chargers work, though.

The website said something about each game having multiple "break point" or something "so you dont have to worry about losing your progress", which I think sounds like save states.

This sounds fking incredible! Im so gonna buy one...

Already have a SNES, bought N64 about six months ago, but NES and games to these systens in general are pretty expensive. Im so down with this!

Edit. Oh damn, Super C didnt register to me until I read the list 3 times. I would have loved to see the first one (since thats the one I have played), but Super C is still a Contra game, so I'll probably love it too.

They might hit their 300 000$ goal on Kickstarter, but I feel it might be a close one.

Still though, the game seems cool. They have obviously drawn some influence from Shadow of the Colossus, but based on the list of features they plan on putting into the game, it seems that survival and preparations for the battle are the meat of the game (since they plan to only have like 5 bosses in the core game).

Thats actually great to hear because I searched for that bit of information just a couple of days ago and people had conflicting information about it. Twitter I guess?

Still, a bummer that you cant upload anything to Atlas. I dont know if he specifically meant that you have to play multiplayer to upload to Atlas or can you upload information while being online but not having PS+?

Some games allow global leaderboards or even some online exchanges without P...

They procedurally created the universe with the variables they wanted (to avoid most insane/broken planets) and then made a large seed out of it. Its that seed that your machine is then reading and building that procedurally created universe from.

Its kind of like asking why Minecraft doesnt take like hundreds of terabytes of space because the different possible world combinations are endless.

In theory, I think that also means that with some modding, you...

Thats kind of weird since dragonball games always seemed to have beefier collectors editions in europe previously.

They send the games through mail? I didnt see any way of ordering the games to your house last time I visited a few days ago on their site... maybe they dont provide such services in my country yet?
