Heh, similar thing happened with me and my friend, I was able to stay logged in and even play games online but he couldnt even though he was logged in during the incident. My whole friends list was offline.

Yeah that was the thing I was wondering about the issue. Since it was caching issue I kind of guessed that people who didnt use Steam at that moment but hearing a confirmation feels pretty good.
Finally a bit more indepth explanation to what happened. Im a bit more happy that this issue became when they were trying to respond to DDoS maximizing user experience and not because some intern fked up big time.

The problem I have with your statement is that you said "controls".
I think theres nothing wrong with the technology behind these VR devices and Im fully expecting a great audio/visual experience but I couldnt care less about strapping some motion sensors on me or around my room to get "immersive" experience.
If the VR games are simply, amazing audio/visual VR experience + mediocre games that have been built around using motion controllers...
So since this is a caching issue, what are the odds that someone's (like mine) who hasnt bought anything in a while, would have their information out there?
I guess this affects more recent users more?

Regardless, I will buy it in an instant on disc when it comes out. I think more smaller and indie games should also try to go for physical release as long as its not too much of a financial burden.
When I heard about this some weeks ago for the first time, it sounded like they wanted a modernized Dreamcast that allows playing old DC games and would have an online service to purchase all DC games to the HDD.
Now for some reason it has turned into a rumor of Sega returning to console business after seeing this project.

Honestly, I wouldnt take non-gamers words seriously as to how badly something is portrayed in videogames. They are not gamers so how would they know what is the essence of gaming and what is acceptable in our form of entertainment? Why would they even care?

This same channel has a video of DBZ Burst Limit running on the emulator, and even though it has severe graphical glitches (which is understandable considering it might have some very fancy cellshading/rendering going on), its still running and even faster than 10FPS.

Considering that the Crash game that they were working on for the PS2 (AFAIK) before they left Universal was supposed to be sort of a freeroam/open world game similar to the first Jak and Daxter, that should be the direction they take with new Crash.
Twinsanity could have been a classic and become almost comparable to the originals but too bad they had so rushed development schedule. The later half is clearly lacking and even has some bigger problems.
That and the fact that in pretty much every soulsborne game the first part of the game is overcrowded on purpose to turn some people away/test/tutorial you.
This is kinda one thing I dont like about Bloodborne/souls games. Bloodborne is on the longer end but Demons Souls "get used to" part is pretty short.

My guess is that it has something to do with him being human/cat. He has cat ears and maybe the lashes are also one of the more cat-like characteristics of his.
What I mean by this, is that the lashes are making his eyes more pronounced in a different way.
But theres a conflict here, if you are a male character and hoard all these women and men to start relationships with, you are a wild and disgusting pig. Like, holy sht? Being in relationship with a woman and a man (in a gay way) is like some sort of a double patriarchy!

Very likely, its been done with all of their emulators (PSP, PS3's PS2 and 1 classic emulators and the Xperia phone's PS1 classics emulator)
All working in similar fashion (ripping the emulator from the classics and then merging your own image file with the emulator using a specific software.) so something similar on PS4 is likely to happen at some point.
