lol you don't have to update every couple of months and if you want your games to look console quality you probably only need to update every couple of years. But I see what you are saying - I don't look at it as an inconvenience - it's an option to make your system better and your games better. An option you don't get with consoles.

^^ somebody couldn't master the ADVANCED controls of KZ2. Stick acceleration, weight / inertia to the movement etc. Keep playing your "floaty hovercraft with a gun" games and the big boys will keep playing the KZ series. Not to mention 32 player dedicated servers, full bot implementation, innovative game modes and world class graphics and more. KZ2 set the bar and no game on console has been able to match it yet.
I guess I'm in the minority - I really liked Far Cry 2. Had it for both the PS3 and 360 because I like it so much and loved the user made maps etc.
Hopefully KZ4 is more KZ2 like than KZ3 like.

This really doesn't make sense. It's a MP only game - you play the game....it's not a grind. You aren't killing dumb 1000 mobs for xp. You just play and level up. You aren't outclassed by a level 20+ player in terms of tech either - you can hang with them. They beat you because of skill and knowledge, not gadgets and upgrades. The game is good - I have a hard time calling it a mech game. It's really more an FPS with robots than an actual mech game (i.e. no torso...

own all 3 consoles. 95% of the time I play on PC. the number of f2p and ultra cheap (hellllooo humble bundle!) games is staggering on the PC - while the consoles over charge and try to nickle and dime you out of everything for inferior service, graphics and performance.

The 360 menu is slow, cluttered and full of ads.
The XMB is fast but lacks some basic functionality.
AC games are always a little buggy - but never wrecks the game really. Standard.
I don't bother with reviews anymore. Between Giant Bomb Quick Looks + Total Biscuit WTF series I get all I need to know before buying a game without all the crap you get in a review.
They won't do it - they think the right to carry weapons designed for the sole purpose of murdering people (that is 100% what hand guns and assault rifles are designed for) is more important than the safety of people/children. Rights>Lives.
