So the XBOX One is a DVR that uses Kinect....hmmm think I'll keep gaming on my PC.

Can't wait for the Ouya. Less excited about the PS4/XBOX and no interest in the WiiU. Not sure that it will dominate or reign supreme. But I think it has a good chance of being the "supplemental" console of choice. A nice cheap console that can give you a different gaming experience sounds good to me.

Uggg....doesn't look promising. Looks more like the Sony Store than the XMB. XMB is so much better than the 360 interface or the PSN Store clunky graphics style of interface....but after this I don't think that will be true. Have to wait and see I guess - but I'm concerned.
FTL, The Walking Dead, Journey, FEZ, Xenoblade Chronicles, Mark of the Ninja....all came out and were hugely successful last year - nominated for GOTY in various categories on various sites - all could be done on an iPhone or Android. Hardware != good games.
Can't wait to check them out. Some will be crap - no doubt. But I anticipate some great games as well. Indie devs are the innovators - not the AAA game makers. AAA guys just sell you the same game over and over again with slightly better graphics and new levels - no thanks.
I play a lot of indie rogue likes - which are small indie games that give me hundreds of hours of play. Dwarf Fortress alone - would keep me happy for life lol but I understand your point. I don't think that the OUYA is going to be the console to rule them all - just the one I'm most looking forward to. Give me 20 great indie games over 2 or 3 AAA games any day :)
The best 2 games I played last year were The Walking Dead and FTL - both could easily exist on an Android based machine. I say it's going to be exciting to have in my living room especially if indies can have easy access to it. The OUYA is the console I'm looking forward to the most. ^^ so true. That's why my year has been consumed with games like DayZ, FTL and Dwarf Fortress - these devs aren't selling out to maybe a dollar.
I like X3 better but FTL is awesome and my favourite game from last year.

I agree the story was awesome and I enjoyed it a lot more than most games. I don't even contend that it shouldn't have been game of the year - my devils advocate line of comments is really that I can see a solid case for some people not picking it as their game of the year. Skyrim didn't have lame gameplay.
It also taught companies that you can have lame gameplay and a buggy ass game and still win GOTY. I see it's success as damaging as much as it is helpful for gaming in coming years.
No you are not alone. The first Fallout was fun but that was about all I needed - it seems the series has been getting buggier and buggier and I'm not sure I'm holding my breath for FO4 if it's going to be more of the same and more of the same buggyness.
