I really like the beta (and I liked the earlier betas). I have had some connectivity problems but they seem to be getting fixed (I didn't have such problems in the closed beta).

I work 40 hours a week. I have 4 kids that I take to soccer / hockey / snowboarding / gymnastics / bath / read stories to / help with homework etc. When I get free time to myself at 10 O'clock at night and want to unwind or relax I don't call 3 friends to come over to my house to play my Wii while my wife and kids are sleeping. If you had any responsibilities in your life you would understand how people who actually contribute to society live.
The problem for me (or Mii) is that 3 or 4 friends coming over and sitting on the couch to game has been replaced by me playing on line with friends with voice chat etc. I would play more Smash Bros. Brawl if it wasn't a nightmare to play with friends and if we had voice. I'd play a bunch of games if they just supported online and voice comms. Nintendo needs to catch up with how gamers are playing with friends now - and not how they use to as much.
More Sony / PS3 titles support dedicated servers. For whatever reason MS seems to have really limited dedicated server support. Where as the PS3 has always been about full 32+ player games on dedicated servers. To me this benefit far out weighs cross game chat. It was one of my big concerns moving from PC to console and Sony seems to embrace dedicated servers a lot more than MS.
Most people who don't like MAG don't get MAG. They didn't take the time to figure out the complexities of what exactly is going on in the massive battle and how well MAG's command structure works. They just jump in, run around and if they don't get a 5+ KDR they quit. Which is fine - those are the people I don't want in my squad. I'll take people who what to work as a team and actually understand the game. Go back to glitching MW2 - and leave the real team players to play MAG.
Maybe it was the glitchiest GOTY award? Seriously everyday it is some new glitch with this game. I hit 63 and haven't turned it back on since - maybe it is Beta of the Year?
This isn't even in my top 10 let alone #1. The game is mad buggy, the split screen menus are a joke, the story - barely exists. It was a great first try at a somewhat new idea and I can't wait for Borderlands 2 because I think it will kick butt...but seriously in a year where we had so many AAA games they pick this? Goodbye credibility (if it ever existed).
I have all 3 consoles and prefer the PS3 for online gaming because it has a larger number of titles using dedicated servers.
But the first one is mad buggy and has some serious oversights (no trading weapons? no need / want system for drops / split screen menus were horrific etc.) Good game - good first try but way too buggy and unpolished and not fully realized. Can't wait for part 2 however.
My 360 has been back 3 times. And they keep sending me back a launch unit that will fail again. Beyond that I know people with new 360s that have failed. Add all the E74 (I have had this once as well) and crappy DVD drive failures and the 360 is still one of the worst made electronic devices around. Good thing the software and network support are so solid.

That has been my experience by way of WAY more than 10 - 15 hours of MAG beta game play through Beta 1 - 3. Playing in all 3 factions.

If you enjoy solid team work, less arcadey feel than standard shooters (i.e. MW2), objective based game play, command structure that works, small scale skirmishes that transform into large scale battles etc. If at the end of a game you like to look back and say I helped by doing my little part well and not getting distracted then MAG is for you.

Tekken 6 is my first Tekken game but I absolutely love the competitive play. Unfortunately the campaign is complete trash imho...maybe this will help!?
Such variety in the gameplay with the mixed classes and warzone game type. Killzone 2 offers a rich experience if you run and gun, play a support role, like to lay low and snipe etc. Just a great online experience for every type of FPS player.
It would be hard for them to release a game as buggy and glitch friendly as MW2. Zipper didn't go in with a God Complex like IW. They held a massive and lengthy beta and were constantly making updates and fixes...I don't think we are going to see the glitching on the scale that you see in MW2.
