the character shadows look very good indeed. Goes to show you how opinions are so varied, I think this looks brilliant but yet I think KZ2 is overhyped.
I own a Xbox-360 and if this was coming to the Xbox-360 I would be impressed with what I just saw, the lighting is exellent.
People who have a PS3 still want a Xbox-360 and people who have a xbox-360 still want a PS3, if the price of the console goes down gamers will buy them, whether you are Pro PS3 or PRO 360 they both have a lot to offer. I think this gen will be close.
For the record I think LBP will be a system seller, why? because they are advertising it, and the quality is there for all to see.
the PS3's problem is no longer a lackm of games but the price point, there is not a single person who I know that hasn't liked LBP, my console of choice is the Xbox-360 but I am a gamer, and as a gamer I would be lying if I said I did not want a PS3, there are some good games now, LBP would be my 1st purchase, myself and friends have mostly agreed that you really have to own a PS3 and a xbox-360 to get the best there is to offer, my problem is that I cannot justify spending all that extra mon...
it looks realtime, am I supposed to be blown away?
will not remain in business, MS have there fingers in a lot of pies and are smart enough to be aware of the problems they are facing and will always be working on a solution, DLC will be big and there gaming division will survive and do well. There OS and other software problems will need a big overall, it will not be so long before we have OS software/webmail/browser etc built into our TV's, but we will always need security and we will always need a company like Microsoft to be a part of sof...
I have a xbox-360 dated 18/07/2008, guess what, I was talking on this forum yesterday about how reliable my new Xbox-360 has been, then when I turn it on I get the E74 error lol, hey so long has I get a replacment I don't care, but the replacement is the one dated 18/07/2008 so do not assume you will get the jasper model. For the record getting my 360's fixed or replaced has not been a problem, so apart from the odd headache theres no real problem here for me.
use the RROD all you like but the fact remains if the Xbox-360 did not have the hardware problems then it would be a massive success, MS is the underdog remember, it has had to build it's install base not take it for granted just because the PS2 did so well, MS have done everything right apart from the hardware issues.
you actually put people off buying it, you hype it up beyond all expectations and people ultimatly are left disapointed.
I would have had a PS3 by now but it is still too expensive for a games machine, I don't use WIFI because the bandwidth is lower and Bluray so far is more for films, if this was not the case why have mandatory installs, I mean why have all that space and then have to install? I would love a PS3 but why would I want to spend so much more when it does nothing better? I have friends with Xbox-360 and PS3 and the general opinion is that the PS3 is overated.
The games line up and online service more than makes up for the hardware issues, and yes I have had the RROD but my updated model has been perfect, but you know what if it did happen again I would still buy another Xbox-360 because apart from the hardware issues it has been well worth it for the hours of pleasure it has given me, and for the record I have never had to buy another because MS always replaced it, RROD is more of a Sonys fans wet dream in order to make us all buy PS3's, we are qu...
COD5 is a tie because for some strange reason on one screen the Xbox-360 has better tectures and effects but then on another screen it is like they got the screens mixed up and the PS3 looks better. For the record just about everything I play looks better on the Xbox-360 VGA/Monitor cable, I am not sold on HDMI, IMO it shows more faults, AA with VGA is almost perfect, with HDMI i get more jaggies and artifacts, HDMI IMO is better for movies but not for games.
it's a low res video guys.
care to elaborate?
Sonys comment was far more arrogant.
like it or not, if MS keep Sony in second place after they dominated the last generation then MS must have done somthing right and Sony is doing somthing wrong, and Nintendo well they must be just pure genius.
1st let me just say that the Xbox-360 could definatly handle the missing effects, I have no idea why they are in the PS3 version and not the Xbox-360, I mean gears of war 2 looks amazing (much better than the 1st despite what people keep saying) and kept me wowed throughout, but if I am honest it is the little things that can make a difference and on this occasion for whatever reason the PS3 wins, though I still don't get the contrast level issues.
to those who say that the Xbox-360 has peaked you need to see gears 2 in action.
they said that already. Besides I visited Blockbuster maybe 2-3 times this year, once internet speeds hit a acceptable speed I have no problem with DLC.
HD-DVD, I wander if warner are kicking themselves right now, surely if they had supported HD-DVD as well as bluray they would be making a lot more money right now, I always said they should support both, bluray was forced onto people even though the HD-DVD hardware was selling really well, all the film companies did was to alienate the public, this may seem off topic but my point is that you cannot make assumptions when it comes to the public, people want things they can afford, if people thi...
