If this happens, I may shift more towards the PS4 than my PC as KB/M is usually more comfortable for me to use.

The PSP was released at Dec 2004. FF:CC was announced at May 2005. The VITA has no such *equivalent of a game in that calibre even after 18+ months since release.

The only thing I'm really looking forward to this is with some better accessibility for the handicap/ill.
Making it mandatory would likely create a hair more development interest for games that can be played more by the sick.

I completely agree.
This is potentially a "HIDDEN" issue.
Prospective devs/publishers (specially 3rd party) for supposed BIG BUDGET, EXCLUSIVE VITA games may rather do a smaller/mid budget PS4 game especially since you can just Remote Play it.
I say it's safe to assume the PS4 will have magnitudes more install base in it's first year than the total amount of VITA sold today.
