Nope. Not MHFG. It's a subscription MMO.
Wii U will do marginally better than the VITA in world wide scenario but they shouldn't be really compared as it's a home console.
The VITA can be about as irrelevant as the Wii U in terms of international market presence.
If anything you should compare Wii U vs PS4/X1 and the VITA vs 3DS in the global scene.
If the VITA is fine, the Wii U shouldn't be any different by what you're going w/.
Pretty hard for Sony's portable platform.
Nintendo stole MH (JPN power brand).
Sony doesn't have as powerful handheld legacy IPs as Nintendo (Mario/Pokemon/Fire Emblem/Animal Crossing).
LBP vs Mario
Pokemon vs Invizimals (TBD)
FEA vs OreShika 2 (TBD)
Animal Crossing vs 'NO VITA EQUIVALENT'/Simulation game
= Nintendo outsells.
Really a tough battle w/ weak 3rd party supp...
There is NO ADDED revenue stream as the PS (1, 2, 3 and now 4) home console has been a revenue stream day one.
Console = a "revenue stream"
Mobile = a "revenue stream"
Dropping the VITA is a LOSS of "stream" (mobile).
Just say that the PS4 will have higher revenue.
It's not dead but it's doing bad outside Japan.
KZM only sold 41K NPD numbers (creamsugar neogaf leaker) US numbers.
It's pretty bad that the VITA doesn't have Skylanders as well (the article's iterviewee suggests the importance of younger audience).
The VITA's losing steam since launch.
CODBOD and AC3L sold past 100K and UCGA is still the highest selling game.
There will be a few sale...
Good job for the PSV!
I was only expecting high 20Ks but seems that was way, waaayy off.
Not THIS game but the mainline series.
Poor VITA.
Hopefully, it'll get an "Ultimate" version later but not a year late.
Nah. They'll probably port the iOS version w/c just came out in Japan.
Sucks for VITA.
I wish These KH Collections would come to the VITA.
Oh well.
I love this game! :) The dating was hilarious.
I was bummed that I lost disc 2 years ago back in gradeschool :P

Something's definitely weird as this is the easiest I find compared to GH and DJM and I have below average reflexes and concentration.
How's the feel of comfort and balance on this thing when using the stylus extensively on "air" (not on lap or table).
Sucks but no biggie IMO.
It's for those the more "casual" (what Sony said in 2K reveal) who probably doesn't want to invest much on the system and mostly saves and some patches.
I think Sony was better off giving away free 2GB/4GB cards unless the internal 1 GB will allow unique 2K "hidden" features for future patches.
"Real" portable gamers (that are closer to your definition) are niche.
Proof: Marketshare today.
Mobile is the future of gaming.
Doubt it's ever going to just be stuck on touch screen games w/ the start of companies trying to shove in physical controls for mobile.
Either the mobile hardware themselves become close enough to emulating PS4/X1 experiences (specially with diminishing return in graphics much so on a smaller screen) or the global infrastructure finally allows very good Cloud Gaming on devices like the VITA.
Traditional co...
Sony has OreShika 2 a more traditional RPG and by default, a lot less MH.
"Grand and ambitious". Yeah I'd like Sony to try that for a non hunting/arpg game other than Oreshika.
As far as being an MH clone, doesn't seem to be a bad one so far at (8 MP for a handheld, verticality, dismemberment, incapacitate, cover system). Seems closer to GE tho.
If only Aya Brea was a male, I'd pick that.
Implying Japan didn't buy SS, PSO2 PSV, Toukiden and God Eater.
Implying Japan won't buy GE2 and FW.
Not to mention these are early VITA efforts while MH has already built an empire by folding and hammering about 6 MH games.
Even factor in the small install base of the VITA in JPN makes the sell ratio of these so called "MH Clones" do pretty good.
