I doubt the new nintendo console will arrive on 2016. They need a strong line up of games to support it. They need Zelda, Metroid and Mario and they really need to make a good reveal of the console. I remember the Wii U reveal was a disaster. People didn't even knew what it was.
I think MS will go the Sega route and will announce a new console very early. I remember when Sega started releasing new consoles desperately as they were frustrated on Nintendo' success. They totally lost the ball.
Yes, xbox is here to stay on second place. Which is good. Unless Nintendo comes and take second place.
I really doubt that and coming from Ubisosoft, I expect that game to have lots of bugs. That is just pure PR talk.

These are different times and a different market. Even if the PS4 does not manage to surpass the PS2, at least is moving the industry forward and sustaining the console market like no other console in this current gen.
xbox 360 launched a year early than PS3 and yet PS3 outsold it at the end. Playstation is a worldwide brand. xbox is a US only brand.

I have heard other people's feedback with PSVR and they say is a better experience than Oculus Rift so I guess this is a matter of opinion. The thing is that PSVR is going to be more popular that Oculus since they are only targeting PC hardcore fans and with Vive rumored $1500 price, PSVR is the best option for staring on the VR technology. This is assuming Sony will put a better price than the competition.
