Fantastic game. The PSOne had some legendary RPGs.
Lookin forward to the 3DSLite. I'll pick one up then, at $200.
Because, as a general rule, stock shortages are distributed pretty evenly. Distributors aren't so dumb as to push all their units to particular regions, and not to others, and retailers are bright enough to order well in advance, and are quick to redistribute stock when needed.
Its more likely that this article is PR spin, based on a couple retailers in some small area, and the story is blown way out of proportion to suit the media vendor/journalist.
Act...
If FF13 did well on the 360, then it'll be ported at some point. If it didn't do well, then it won't. If S-E stands to make money, by spending $5M more on a port, then it'll be done. They'd need to sell about 250K copies to make it worthwhile, likely, and those copies would need to be above and beyond what they'd normally see on the PS3... not instead of.
Pretty simple. Chances are, given 360 FF13 sales, it'll be ported at some point. Maybe no...
That works... right up to the point where Nintendo alienates their primary demographic with a huge pricetag and health warnings.
I think this comparison will be more interesting than most people think.
Because you only own a Kinect, but otherwise are a big Top Spin fan, right?
If this means "Final Fantasy Fashion Outfit Battle" like X-2 did, I'm out.
So... 360s are in short supply in Europe now? Is that why they aren't selling as well as they do in America?
This article is a European source, isn't it?
Yup.
There are lots of Kinects and 360s in my town. I don't think there's a need to worry.
...or maybe its the depression that induces the gaming?
The MultiQueue system starts up big games faster than they ever have... I'm still playin' -- its better than ever.
BF3 is the only game on the radar that has a chance to displace MAG, in my book.
I don't think the RSX is anything special, but the Cell is still a phenomenon. It has 32% the transistors of the fastest i7, yet has over 60% the performance in high-performance apps like Folding@Home, and that's with only 6 SPUs, not all 8.
If you're a games programmer, I strongly recommend to take some classes on performance computing -- especially if you don't understand why cache misses are such a burden on modern CPUs, and how the Cell effectively bypass...
Kinect is awesome for robot navigation. Depth cameras FTW.
Not so much for gaming. Then again... many 360 fanboys once claimed the same thing about the Cell, being good for supercomputer apps, but not for gaming. Maybe Kinect will turn out well, in the end. Or maybe not.
I think you'd be surprised at how many fools there are. Shocked, even.
Yeah... Doctors... so smart.
I know doctors who won't tell their elderly patients that they are diabetic, because it would be "too hard on them".
I am NOT getting a 3DS for my kids... ever. This is, basically, the reason why.
Sony will likely move to making 250GB and 500GB PS3 models this year, and MS will likely bump their HDD to 320 or 500GB, but cut the price? I seriously doubt it.
More "value", same price. Bigger HDDs will cost Sony, MS like $3 more. Cutting the price to $249.99 would probably put them in the red.
32nm Cells/RSXs and Xenon/Xenos combos aren't due this year. Next year, probably. They both just reduced to 45nm at the end of last year -- it doe...
The hackers who create CFWs know just enough to be dangerous to your console.
Wow @ the lack of humility.
I know its Reggie's job to talk up Nintendo. Can't blame him I guess.
